My Mom has been pushing a theory that Trump will quit after 6 months since the situation is "unworkable", and leave Pence to run it. He can still claim he won once!

Resignation is a possibility. He is too big of a target and the dems won't pass anything in congress that he supports, thus he is leaving for the betterment of the country.

Used to think this to be the case but I'm not sure the hat shit crazy wing of the party would be behind Pence as much as Trump.

This seems to be a popular sentiment, and I think it's insane. Pence wants to move the United States back a few decades. Trump wants to end the United States of America as we know it.

Personally, I despise the man. I can think of nothing more disruptive than his assassination. Every passing day I think my hope sounds crazier. My hope being that the blow hole actually has the ability to accomplish some good that has a long term benefit for more than just his immediate constituency. I think he is susceptible to negative press, and that negative press may force him to change tact on some issues. Clinton was able to deftly weigh public opinion and change tact to his advantage, but he was a true politician. Trump doesn't possess that quality. It's early still. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I will not let this go unnoticed.

Neither. But if either should happen, I wonder if people will like Mike Pence any better. He sure wouldn't be any more favorable towards the LGBT communities. Trump will serve 4 years, then probably lose in a reelection campaign, if he even runs for reelection. I think it's entirely possible he will choose at the end of this term to retire.
