Shocked if true. First I'm hearing of it.

You know what, they really need to stop treating the rioters like protesters. There is a difference. Protesting=good, part of American system. Rioting=time for riotshields, nightsticks, tear gas and water cannons. If the police where allowed to actually do riot control when they broke out this stuff would not get out of hand like this. Blocking people from shopping and getting on their flights just because you want to make a point is illegal and should be treated as such.

Why do you hate protesters?

A peaceful demonstration outside the event decrying the message would be fine.

It seems a very small percentage of Americans understand the importance of freedom of speech or what it means (Hint: Protesting is as American as it gets, censoring other viewpoints the opposite )

Between the "fuck you protesters, get a job!" people and these "Milo should have his mouth wired shut by government mandate " people...im starting to lose confidence

Sometimes protests get messy. Revolution isn't about discussing things politely. But the object and subject of a protest matters. And it seems we have a lot of people who are in favor of shutting down free speech when it's something with which they disagree. That's the ONLY thing this protest was about. It's not a noble cause. It's not an American ideal. This is strictly about uneducated children crying in the streets.

FFS old man. Google the antifa movement. These people aren't in college.

I never mentioned college, but certainly many of the protestors are in college. What difference does that make though? It's a fascist anti-speech movement.

When I questioned the unclear and disjointed message of "Occupy Wall Street" you and others seemed to think I was wrong for doing it. I think this message against hate is just as valid as the message that OWS was trying to send.

Yes, we disagreed on that.

But saying "he has no right to speak anywhere" is miles past disjointed message.

I dont think anyone was saying you are wrong to dare to criticize them, just that your specific criticisms were not valid.

Rick, I don't believe this DB is for them not liking this guy. It's for rioting and setting things on fire. They could have peacefully protested all day and never received this nomination. RPB can correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think the Occupy message was disjointed to begin with. It's a pretty simple concept to believe that eight people shouldn't control 40% of the world's wealth.

Of course, things got muddy with left wing orthodoxy just like BLM. The insistence on filtering everything through identity makes it difficult for the Left to maintain coalitions.

What is their message other than, "Shut the fuck up because we don't like you"?

But I just heard somewhere else that there were outside groups responsible for the violence?

I was all about OWS until about two-ish years ago when this shit went way off the rails. Ideologically, especially from an economic perspective, they are even starting to lose me. Its become less about breaking the ultra wealthy and more about racial divisions within class lines.

In the Terry Moran interview he said, "America needs trolling because trolls are the only one who tell the truth."

I looked at a couple of Milo's shows and he's completely politically incorrect and uses profane language at his shows. If you look up his appearance at DePaul University there were a couple Black Lives Matters people who stormed the stage during his talk and then the Chicago police were told by the school administration not to remove the black protesters from the stage during his talk. The DePaul University president resigned after the conservative students marched to his office. These schools where Milo talks require the conservative students to pay for extra security for Milo and sometimes at the last minute the schools request $6,000 from the students for security. In the case of the DePaul talk, they paid for security, but the school told the security to not intervene. Milo is very offensive. He mocks Muslims and their history of child brides, he makes disparaging remarks about feminism and he says that people who can't tolerate opposing views shouldn't be in college.

Seriously, what is the point of this post? I'm supposed to agree with someone calling Leslie Jones an ape?

The Leslie Jones thing is what got him kicked off Twitter. http://www.breitbart.com/milo/2016/07/1 ... orts-milo/ I guess he called her a "black dude." Some of his fans compared her to an ape.
