Didn't work for the Bears in '07 either... from Superbowl to last place in the division.

Infantry cost 3 IPCs while Armor costs 5. Both defend at 2 strength. If you are just defending a border, it's stupid not to go tankless.

It reduces your carbon footprint because you don't have to keep 50 gallons of water hot all the time.

I love the AC unit buried, because while dumb to do, you know the homeowner asked them to do it so you cant see it.

i used to love distracting lesser competition for long enough to build up a massive fleet of yamato battlecruisers to roll into town and fuck shit up. bonus points if you could get them all mental about all your ghosts+nukes while working on your literal and figurative "endgame."

  MY GUY!!

If you're Russia, the first several turns are just buying infantry and hoping that whoever is England and the US keep the Axis busy so Germany doesn't Blitzkrieg you back to the stone age.

It's been ages since I've played the game but if I remember correctly my first dozen or so turns as USSR would go as follows...

1) Buy 8 infantry
2) Recapture Caucasus
3) Move everything that's not in Karelia to Karelia
4) Place 8 infantry in Karelia
5) Repeat

That sounds about right. Much like the real WWII, the Soviets don't do much except be a human shield. I used to love that game. There was a PC version that was pretty good. Made it much easier to keep track of things.

That PC game was great...although by the end of playing it I was able to house either side of 5 star AI with little to no real chance of losing.
