Talking as a fan of sports and not a fan of the Cubs.

The answer is still "Hell,NO!"

You mean the greatest World Series game ever? Of course not.

A great Game 7 in the NHL/MLB/NBA will always beat a Super Bowl. The Super Bowl can't compete with the previous 6 games of emotion in a series.

The Super Bowl was much more exciting.

well the super bowl didn't put me into a week long emotional tailspin that is undoubtedly the closest I have ever come to wanting to die.

The obvious answer is obvious.

That said, along with the Cavaliers and the Patriots, no love for Stanford over Alabama?

People on this board literally slept through the end of the World Series. Game over.

I can't say as I'm biased about the Cubs but the stress involved in the final 10 minutes of that game would have been something if I cared about either team. That being said when you add in game 7, two long winless streaks and the see saw at end of game, hard to go against the WS.

I don't know how people can say this was the greatest Super Bowl ever. It simply wasn't. Patriots played like shit for 2.5 quarters. And the Falcons played like shit for 1.5 quarters.

Can we just say it was the greatest comeback in sports history? What's wrong with that?

For it to be the greatest game it has to be competitive throughout. Like the Steelers-Cardinals Super Bowl. And the Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl. Those games were both better than this one.

Patriots made a historic comeback. The Cubs made a historic choke but god took pity on them by saving them with a rain delay

Cubs. Not even close. The question is stupid and this thread should be put on a rocket and blasted into the sun.

That Super Bowl was on par with like....Game 4 of NLDS

Which is about as high as a football game can get

My admittedly biased measuring stick is whether or not my wife becomes invested during the game. Big sporting events will get her to the TV but most often than not she's on her phone or reading and not really paying attention. She was all in for game 7 and she's a Sox fan. She watched last night and it didn't move the needle for her. She looked up from her book near the end and said "How did this game get so close? I was really hoping Brady would lose, he's such a douche. Are you going to clean up the kitchen after the game?"

I don't think it was as exciting as the Rams-Titans SB. Great comeback, as has been noted... but not an "all time great" game

This is not even close to an objective fair question to ask around here.

Now if the Bears were involved in that game last night then it would be a very difficult question to answer.

When you are emotionally invested it's impossible to be objective. The Cubs are the easy answer for me.
