Just listened to the segment (3 o'clock hour), and my God it's worse hearing it from his mouth. He knows it's no big deal, he admits he doesn't get mad when people wish him a Merry Christmas, but he just had to (in front of his son) check some God-fearing minimum wage worker's religious privilege and drape himself with the golden arches of the McDonald's Corporation. What an awful human being.

Originally I thought this had happened downtown, so I assumed the worker was a minority, but it was after his kid's hockey practice, so it's likely that the lady was white, overweight, overworked, and underemployed.

Yikes.

I always wear a sportcoat when dining at Mc Pukealls and have never had this problem. They generally say thank you and fuck my order up totally.

The more I think about it, the more I return to the notion that Bernstein was trying to show off for his kid. If the little brat is as "woke" as Dan's lies on twitter imply, he would have noticed Dan giving this nice lady The Business, and asked why.

Scrooge was right: if you can't work, yOU should die. (sigh) One of the things Doug Buffone always taught me is how important your office is. I used to see Doug come in during the offseason and hole up in his office, I'd say "Doug, what are you doing here?" and he'd say "aw, I gotta work on something." And that. Stuck with me. I don't even YOOse all my vacation days because I. don't. want. to stay. home. Work...in a lot of ways, is my release. And vacation is great! I love going on vacations! I had a great time in Budapersht. But...(sigh) if you don't want to work as much as you possibly can, then you hate your damn kids and you'd be better off dead, and (sigh) I think it was very brave of Scrooge to broach a...what I feel is a reality that most people don't wish to confront, which is that their lives are worthless and I wish they would die.
