While our government has not directly executed people in the manner China or Russia might, one can easily conclude that we have greatly impacted the human rights of millions of black Americans over the past thirty year as part of a drug war waged against inner cities. While Trump is not directly responsible, he has set up a movement of white male entitlement that will likely continue to build towards future violent confrontations and only increase the issues that got us to this point. Parts of Crystal Lake are liberal. We live in a bit more affluent of an area. If you get into the mid-section of it or go farther north down 31 towards Bull Valley, Mchenry, etc., its a completely different world. You drive by places like Second Amendment Sports Bar and almost get run over by the guy in the pickup truck with a conservative flag flying out the back.
