Have you seen his stand up? His work on roasts? His appearances on Conan? I think you might just be insane and I never realized it.

No, I've never seen dirty work.

Yes no no no.
Anyway... I didn't say he's not funny. I said he's not a top 50 funny guy.
He isnt.

I'm right.

Kerosene. Matches.

Look at some of the names on that list. He's easily better than half of them. You can't name 50 comedians better than him.

There's a lot of names on that list that make no sense.

This guy gets it. I feel stupid and ashamed for saying he would only be in the top 25. He's good for top 10 easily.

Norm should be on the list. Saw him at the Tempe Improv a couple years ago. Hilarious. Although, you could tell some of the crowd enjoyed his opener more (Sean O'Connor) that night. Norm gave him 20 or 25 minutes. Funny dude (I think he writes for Norm's podcast) but Norm's in the Hall of Fame.

Add Greg Giraldo and Gilbert Gottfried as notable snubs ... Jim Norton and Maria Bamford too.

Can't have the list without Milton Berle.

Cosby should probably be there.

Missing Gaffigan (a better clean comic than Seinfeld, IMO), Giraldo (best roaster of all time), and Lewis Black.

They are not really my cup of tea but I am surprised Leno and Richard Lewis are not on the list instead quite a few.

Maybe not top 50, but deserving of mention:

Anthony Jeselnik
John Mulaney - the Salt and Pepper Diner bit is one of the funniest things I've ever heard!
Hannibal Burress
Joe DeRosa
Al Madrigal
Marc Maron

I also like Nikki Glaser...for many reasons....

Jackie Puppet taking apart Conan O'Brien still makes me laugh more than most of Jackie's offerings

I agree that Schimmel, Black, and Jeselnik are glaring omissions.

There were also some guys I remember from appearances on Johnny Carson that were great...Ronnie Shakes and George Miller come to mind. And I agree on Leno...his standup and appearances on Letterman were fabulous but overshadowed by the blandness of his hosting The Tonight Show.

amy schumer, tig notaro, and sarah silverman on that list is absolutely retarded. maria bamford is way funnier than them and i still dont' even think she's top 50. lisa lamp and ali wong are also way funnier. lamp you might be able to squeeze in there.

no jim norton, norm, schimmel, gaffigan is preposterous. all 4 are funnier and more successful than a 1/4 of that list.

The reality is diller and rivers are probably the only women than belong int he list. cho and garafalo i could allow because of longevity, but anyone else is just placating the feminist "WOMEN ARE FUNNY TOO!!" crowd.

i was thinking about foxworthy too...there are a few names that come to mind that are also like honorable mentions: george wallace, dennis miller, and even sinbad deserves to be considered.

Does Tig Notaro even do jokes? Isn't her whole act just her talking about having cancer and being a dyke?

Norm Macdonald is great. One of our brilliant Canadian minds. But I can see how some might not like his style. Don't judge him on Dirty Work.

Silverman actually has some really good bits.

I've never heard anything by Schumer but I'm not sure I want to either.

Never even heard of Tig Notaro.

even the best comics only hit at about a 50% rate

However, live comedy always seems much funnier than watching it on TV.

my biggest BIGGEST complaint about this list is reggie watts. i've seen him live twice. 2nd time accidentally, it was this produced silliness. he's not even top 200.
