Taj has no value regardless of his contract situation. The Bulls have been trying to dump him for over a year . No one wants him.

I'd trade Okafor straight up for anyone on the Bulls roster save for Butler.

Agreed

Okafor could be the start of something. Not sure how close his is with the other Chicago guys, but I assume they grew up playing together. Anthony Davis, Jabari Paker and Okafor probably grew up liking the Bulls. Be nice if we could engineer that storyline here like LeBron did in Cleveland.

He and Jabari are good friends. Same AAU team and it's one of the reasons Okafor chose Duke.

Get Minnesota involved for Butler and Taj and the Bulls could do well in a 3 team trade.

That being said, I would agree to the prior point, there isn't a player on this roster, sans Butler, I wouldn't trade for him. That's sad.

Okafor can play. He is stuck playing behind a guy that will top 5 baring injury in a few years.

He already has one of the best low post games in the league. I guess that counts for can't play in your world.

He's incredibly soft. Does not rebound well, doesn't even try, from the games I have watched. Not enough of an outside shot to be a stretch 4/5 with marginal defense and no rebounding(to get away with it)

At this point I would welcome any Butler trade to avoid any future Jimmy Butler threads.

I for one have full faith that Fred can also greatly improve his play on defense.

He is physical on the block. I've seen him bully ball a few guys and you can't guard him one on one. He doesn't rebound exceptionally but he can get about 8 a game. Don't care about the "stretch" stuff. He is a center. I can't recall one championship that been won due to a stretch center.

I would trade Mirotic for him. Maybe toss in Rondo.

Philly wouldnt take Mirotic straight up for him. Mirotic is a bum. Possibly Rondo because they desperately need a point.

And you're a blithering idiot. If I have 14 people in my top five as you insinuate then that means I have a top 14 not a top five. Stick to gifs. When you have to logically deduce things tend to go haywire.

Vincent Goodwill was just on with Spiegel and Parkins, and he said from his sources, he is hearing that Boston is being incredibly stingy with that 2017 Nets first rounder, even when talking Jimmy Butler. For my money, you better get BOTH of those future Nets firsts, or trade talks are a non-starter.

Completely agree. Boston can go fuck themselves if they think they're going to get an all star player without giving up those picks.

Danny Ainge has his head up his ass then. Isaiah Thomas is 28 and Horford's 30. Those are their two best players. Jimmy at 27 slides right in. Thomas and Horford don't want to wait around for rookies to develop. Maybe Ainge doesn't want to give up any of those 4 first round picks he got back from Brooklyn because he knows he pulled off an incredible trade. He doesn't want to let go.

Watching the game last night and I'm sure McHale was essentially speaking on behalf of Ainge. Mchale stated that Butler isn't a guy to get them over the hump.

The trade deadline is four days away and the potential for a blockbuster trade involving the Bulls appears to be on the table.

That's according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, who said on his Woj Report on Saturday night that the league's biggest trade deadline story will be Butler, the Bulls and the Celtics.

"There's no question," he told The Vertical's Chris Mannix, "this trade deadline, the potential of a Boston-Chicago deal for Jimmy Butler, I think it will loom over the entire week.
