Interesting take on Candice Wiggins. Dan said she probably is just a bad person which is why the lesbian WNBA players didn't get along with her. Any evidence of that? I just don't understand why the need to defend something that you don't even know is worth defending. When there is the slightest scrap of evidence that someone on Dan's hit list has done something stupid, he pronounces judgment on them. But if he likes you, you get the benefit of the doubt.

I didn't hear that discussion but I did hear a little bit of transition yesterday that was kind of the opposite situation. They were talking about DeMarcus Cousins and Speigel asked if he was a bad guy in the lockerroom. I could have sworn both Bernstein and Goff said "No", but over the last several days I have heard several different people on different stations say he is a bad guy and has contributed to tension both in the lockerroom and with management (coaches, GMs).

I'm guessing, and perhaps mis-attributing who they were talking about, but I thought I heard Dan say that Cousins (or someone else if I'm wrong) wasn't the type of guy you wanted in your locker room if you had a weak head coach. Maybe they went on to say he's an outright turdmobile but I don't recall that.

Dan was inconsistent with his take on the Fowler thing as well. He first said all the Tweets associated with Cardinals fans were not all from St Louis. He also said that all the racist hate mail sent to Dusty Baker were not from Chicagoans. He even said, show me the letters with the return address on it.

Then he went on to say that St Louis has traditionally been a team with a lot of rural fans owing its legacy as the furthest west team. Then he said that fan base has more racist people because they are not exposed to diversity as people from rural areas.

So I found it strange that on one hand, you say you shouldn't make generalizations without facts, and then go on to make a generalization about the Cardinals fan base.

The baby stories are getting a bit redundant, but doesn't he get some points for actually sticking around?

That's pretty much been Dan in a nutshell for the last 10 years or so.

Because people who send racist hate mail make sure to legibly write their return addresses.

Don't we just assume these racists are from the Deep South (below 1-80)? I like how Ken Burns had some guy with the biggest Southern hillbilly accent possible read Hank Aaron's hate mail for his documentary.

Dan actually said that, meaning you can't prove who sent those in, so you can't say they are from Chicago. However, you can say rural people are racist. Like most things, some are some aren't.

Jason said a few days ago that he had essentially given up on him growing up.
