remember that you are helping to fund horribly racist politics that lead to the election of Donald Trump

I know this will make Steve buy twice as much

ricketts money also proved decisive in order to restore the death penalty in nebraska. lolololol

conversely, love all the butthurt libtard cubbie wubbie fans crying on jakeypoo's twitter this morning. oh noes, my sports hero is a republican! it's not like he grew up in a redneck town in texas and that making mad scrilla often changes one's view on paying taxes!

can't wait until 2024 when grandpa rossy implores to vote 'no' on a referendum for a guaranteed basic income.

and now it is much more clear even for the willfully ignorant

Someone feel free to call Bernstein on his cognitive dissonance as he supports the club but fears trump sending his family to gas chambers

I bet I could start a millennial protest by supplying one of the many anti trump groups with this readily available information. Then Laura and Theo can come down from their tower and tell the masses "not us!"

Single game tix went on sale 4 minutes ago.

Usually go to a Cubs/Cards game bleachers with college buddies. We're split between STL and CUB fans.

Bleacher ticket all-in taxes and fees for Saturday July game....$162.

PASS.

My son is finally at the age when he wants to start going to games. I'm dreading the price tag to get a couple of tix this summer.

make him a hipster Cubs fan. South Bend Cubs.

he can brag about knowing Adbert Alzolay was a star the minute he saw him mow down the Lansing Lugnuts.

as a cubs fan and a season ticket holder with small kids, I tell you the strategy is to...buy Kane County Cougars tickets.

While the tickets are painful, its the food and all the other stuff that kills me. Same as Hawks game although there the tickets are much more painful. My parents ask what they can get their grandkids for gifts and I;m startin to tell them sporting event tickets because at least then I haven't spent any money on tickets when it comes to the 8 dollar hot dogs and 7 dollar sprite. And hey, I get a free ticket out of it too as the chaperone.

Got 4 tickets for 2 Saturday "Marque" games, not "Platinum". Never had such an easy time getting tickets.

Could have bought a small car for what they cost. It's insane.

$125 for a bleacher seat for a Saturday night Yankees game in early May, plus tax. So, $150.

Those were $6. Sure, it was 20 years ago. Still, a 2500% increase seems excessive in that period of time.

The bleacher tickets have gotten out of control. I know its an experience. I know people love it. But I can't fathom spending that kind of money on bleacher tickets. Can't do it. Last bleachers game I did was 3 years ago, opening day. I have never been so cold in my life. I had been in Spring training two weeks prior and it was a bit of a shock. Told my friend he was an idiot for suggesting it and now that I've done opening day I will never do it again. I'm not sure early May night is going to be much better. Remember in my youth pitching in an emergency along the lake front and getting blown off the mound by both the opposition hitters and the wind.

Last August for a Saturday Cubs/Cards game our group of 5 had bleacher tickets.

We ended up drinking on my buddy's patio right up until first pitch. Unsurprisingly all bleachers spots were occupied and we ended up standing the whole game above Hornito's Hacienda.

I like standing and shooting the shit with a group of buds. The game really isn't a priority in group settings. Sox games are great for that set up as the outfield concourse is huge. And you can see the game from the concourse whenever you want to check on the game.

Cubs are trying for that vibe with Hornitos patio and back bleacher extension. The back extension won't ever work since the bleachers block any view of the game but still cost 100+ face value.

By all means charge these people up the ass. All the games will still be sold out.

The only Cubs thing I've ever spent money on was a MARMOL/49 jersey-shirt (back in the days when him.and Zambrano were "the Carlos connection" ) after one random Monday night game where i came on down to see the Carlos connection combine to blank the Mets.

It also didn't hurt that when marmol was dominant he was interviewed by b&b, and Dan asked him "what do you think when you're out there on the mound?" And marmol giggled "really?" And Dan insisted "really!" So marmol snapped back with "YOU HAVE NO CHANCE!!!!" 8) 8)

My friends cousin's roommate supposedly hooked up with Marmol and he gave her what I only assume was his hookup cell #. She was bragging about it and one day while we were watching a game at their place. Marmol proceeded to blow the save so I had her call the number and I left a scathing message on it. Not sure if it was really him but someone got a bad VM that day.

I took my daughter to her first baseball game there at age 3. We spent time as follows:

1 1/2 inning in our actual seats, watching the game (nice seats, not the grass)
4 innings in the bounce castle
1 inning running around the park looking for a person playing Princess Elsa
1 inning eating concessions up on the ramp
2 innings walking around the park rather aimlessly, taking in the "sights", pictures with mascots/cheerleaders etc.

Running the bases was a highlight as was the fireworks. Why you would take a kid under the age of 9 to a Cubs game is beyond me.

it was a harrowing experience. Had it not been for the free ballpark hotdogs, we may have never emerged...
