It is funny - the selective infectiousness of the zombie world - isn't it?

My first thought: I wonder when he last had a tetanus shot.

Well that and the fact.that the spike went through the zombie's skull (not killing it for some reason?) and is thus covered in contagious zombie goo. Seems like tetanus would be the least of Rick's worries.

I enjoyed last night's episode.

Eugene seems happy being an important person again.

Dwight's face turn is foreshadowed a bit too hard, but still pretty enjoyable end to the episode with Dwight and Eugene overseeing the yard.

They write some excellent dialogue for Eugene, and the deadpan way that McDermitt delivers most lines makes it hilarious. Really good stuff. I would have preferred more interaction with Eugene and Dwight, Negan, and the blonde leading him around rather than the goofy scenes with the wives.

I think this is all an act on Eugene's part. Sure, he enjoys the luxuries but he is biding his time. He will throw off the coward's cloak to be a hero when the war begins

On the surface I agree with the comments on Eugene and what he brought to the episode. When I dig deeper though, I just feel like this entire episode had 10 minutes of worthwhile content towards the plot. Big surprise that Negan's wives want to kill him and Dwight will likely turn.

That red head is the hottest one of the wives, including Dwight's ex, yet she barely gets a mention from Negan.

I only half paid attention to last night's episode. It doesn't look like I missed a whole lot.

Not really. Rick and Michonne conveniently stumbled into a nice cache of guns but other than that the only interesting thing
was the last couple minutes between Sasha and Rosita.

One of the worst episodes I have seen in a while. That was complete filler. Being surrounded in a car by a group of zombies is usually a death sentence but today the escaped without even worrying about the situation.

I hate the Sanford and Son people.

I caught up to every episode besides the new one over the weekend.

This season is starting to lose me.

They can't decide what Negan truly is. He sort of rules by fear but no one stands up to him with a bunch of easy chances and sometimes he wants to recruit people in and treat them well. He's willing to do horrible things to Rick's crew and his own people but he won't even enter the Kingdom?

King Ezekiel is a waste too.

Carol is ruined as a character. If I have to hear her act all sad about things and how she just wants to be left alone I'm going to fast forward.

This new group of people with speech impediments were boring and the spiky zombie was so cheesy.

It just seems like they are running in circles preparing for the coming actual war which will hopefully be worth the payoff.

I echo everything from rick. This feels almost as bad as Lost was after their second season. If Rick falls into a fucking time portal and ends up back before the start of the virus, I'm going to stop watching all TV ever.

Zombie Carnival.
I find my attention wanders with the Rick group now, I thought the Eugene episode was good (and I agree that the redhead is the best looking wife...and a massage therapist!) but man these Rick episodes are wasting time.

It's like they want me to hope that Negan puts them out of their misery.

The guy who taught Morgan how to use a staff was completely overpowered by one slow moving zombie. Rick and Michonne climb through the sun roof, and escape dozens of zombies without so much as a scratch.

Why did she lock herself in the trunk in the first place? That made no sense.

I thought the spike zombie was the first decent scene sonce the premiere.

This show sucks. All downhill since they left the prison. Peaked in season 2. 3 was good. 4 was average at best. Negan gave them a dead cat bounce but its still bad

Btw, wtf is up with Fear the Walking Dead? What a piece of shit that is. I cant even watch the ads anymore. Have they scrapped the whole original cast? Dont recognize anyone in the ads

Those are self contained episodes, not previews. New 1 minute episode every week of TWD. Considering they did the same thing last season (with the airplane) this really shouldn't have to be explained to you.

But last year it was knowm the plane survivor was going to be part of season 2 or whatever right? Are these stories linked too?

Ive seen not one ad or reference to the cast. I was wondering if they scrapped them and started with a new group (ALA Charles in Charge)

Its just a terrible show.

I don't even know why I'm still watching this crap, but I am. Just get to the damn battle scene against Negan. Another episode that didn't really move the plot. Fine, the kingdom is going to have to re-visit their decision not to go to battle with the saviors. Nothing was concluded though. So what was the point of the episode?

Tonight's episode was great. I might rank it top 5 in the series.

Join me. I stopped watching last season. Feels good reading all the bad reviews, knowing I made the right choice.

This show is so fucking boring now.
This season has been a waste. Nothing has happened since the first 40 minutes of the first episode of the season.

that heart-to-heart between the two dishes was moving television, though.

I doubt there is any way they can begin and end a war with Negan in the season finale. I doubt they even begin the bloodshed.

Did Negan's brief trip with Carl to Alexandria change his viewpoint on what a post apocalyptic society could be? Cynically, you might think he is trying to break down the Alexandria group by turning their residents. However, if he brings enough Alexandria residents into his group, it will be the group that turns rather than the Alexandria residents.

Negan is displaying a moral compass to pair with his Machiavellian method of ruling.

I'm sure the comic book readers already know that there won't actually be a war with Negan but didn't want to spoil it for us.

Agreed, there is no way they can properly have any kind of resolution with Negan in what will likely be a 90 minute finale. Also agree that
it would be surprising if they start the actual main war ( if there is one ) before the season wraps. I do believe that at least one or two main
characters will meet their demise including Sasha. Negan has something special lined up for her, and will likely do it in front of the Alexandria
group, showing just how sick he can be. They will leave us hanging for next season, just not as in exciting fashion as last season.

War definitely won't happen till next season, still lots of planning that has to go into it.

No idea how this season will end in terms of what type of climatic scene they will use to end it, but I'm sure they will come up with something.

Lots of moving parts out there that need to be coordinated....

-Alexandria and Junk Yard Crew have to coordinate guns and plan of attack.

-The Kingdom has to officially join up

-What is going to happen with Sasha and Eugene

-How will Hilltop be involved

I'm sure some of that will be worked out next week, but there's way too much to do all that and also have the war.

My bet is that Negan tests Eugene's loyalty by making him off Sasha.
