No.

Peak Bo Jackson was incredible... Have seen nothing like that since. Shame about his career being cut so short.

The above are the only acceptable answers for "Who is the best RB of all time?"

The above post got me thinking, how many names could you listen to an argument for as "best ever" without immediately telling someone to stop before hearing them out? For example, I don't think Jim Brown or Adrian Peterson would be the best NFL player ever, but I would hear an argument for them. If you tell Shaq is the best NBA player ever it's hard for me to even continue though. NFL seems like it's more apt for this.

NFL

Tom Brady
Jim Brown
Lawrence Taylor
Jerry Rice
Peyton Manning
Walter Payton
Adrian Peterson
Joe Montana
Aaron Rodgers

MLB

Barry Bonds
Babe Ruth
Pedro Martinez

NBA

Michael Jordan
LeBron James
Wilt Chamberlain

NFL

Wayne Gretzky

Boxing

Muhammad Ali
Joe Louis
Rocky Marciano
Mike Tyson

Pedro Martinez does not belong on that list at all. He's not even top five, and might not be top ten.

I included the best pitcher I've ever seen. Not all of us are as old as JORR, leash, and Walt.

At his peak there has NEVER been a guy who could run the ball like Bo Jackson. His combination of speed and power has never been seen before.

We have recently seen that combo with AP. If he could catch or pass block or stay healthy or not be one of the worst dads in recent memory there would be no debate on who the best RB ever is/was.

AP had nowhere near the power Bo had and LT was better than AP.

The thing about Bo, and I'm not saying he was the best of all time, is that he never played a full season, only got like 15 carries a game and only played for 4 years. His average carry was 5.4 for his career. Its just hard to know what he would have been if he was a 16 game a year player. But the memory of watching him play.. Mercy.. Was definitely a more exciting player than AP but AP does have the longevity thing going for him and being a true load back while Bo either didn't have the ability or the opportunity in his career.

I hear you, but being a workhorse is necessarily a part of this conversation. There's a reason we aren't talking about Jamal Charles here.

There really is no debate. Bo's combination of power and speed has never been seen before. You should YouTube him.

Tomlinson had over 18k yards for his career. He could literally do it all as a running back. He didn't need to be replaced on 3rd down.

Then the argument should be he was the fastest, or most powerful, or most exciting RB to watch ever. Not the best ever, because he wasn't.

Which is why I won't call him the all time great. But he was for sure an all time talent and the most or second most exciting RB I have ever watched along with Sanders. I love Walter, and I think through my very blue and orange colored glasses, he is the GOAT when it comes to the position but I sure appreciated Bo in his prime.

You should YouTube AP. If anything, we've never seen anything like that before.

One of our first arguments on here was during AP's rookie season. I told you halfway through that season he was better than LT, and he was. The same is now true for their careers. LT gets bonus points for longevity and consistency but AP has always been better.

I'd take Walter if I could only choose one. AP, Sanders, and Brown would all be close 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
