I disagree that there is nothing wrong with it. These people are sick in the head. Just because it's being pushed as normal doesn't make it so.

I don't hate trannies but I'm not going to pretend that it's normal.

Someone says they're a tranny or I see one and I go in my head "oh, ok, this person is a fucked up weirdo" and I move on with my day.

I can't say that's ever occurred to me either. That's sad.

It really isn't a nuanced thing. Adoptive patents have to go through extreme vetting already. Gay couples should have to pass the same scrutiny as straight couples.

It's incredibly wrong that many people fight against any gay couple adopting.

Just because you end most of your discussions with because I say so doesn't make it true.

Oh no. I judged those who negatively judged all gay people. You'd think someone who claims to be accepting of gay people wouldn't have an issue with that statement.

Spaulding showing she's very similar to CFMB's very own Elmhurst Steve.

Sad.

You can't always be sure. Also, I would suspect that most people I have seen representing as the opposite gender don't actually suffer from true gender dysphoria, but rather are more likely to simply be gay and just like dressing up.

However, I did have a regular customer at my speaker store who was a 6'2" black woman (About 6'7" in her heels) named "Candy". She was pretty good looking. I always assumed she was a he.

I had a client in my old commercial production career who transitioned (publicly) over the course of a weekend. Left on Friday as a "he" and came back Monday as a "she." She had the surgery a year later. It was the advertising world though so no one really got worked up about it.

Oh, I just remembered this! I got called in for a tax audit at the IRS facility in Morton Grove. The auditor was this guy named Wayne. I heard he later transitioned to Wanda.

I knew you wouldn't let me down!

I don't think it's nit picking here to say that even if you're cool with it, you don't give it an extra look.

While I consider myself to be a "do whatever you want with yourself" kind of guy, I will still do a double take. The woman that they did the reality show about lives in Evanston (where I live). I've seen her in town a few times and she's not exactly womanly. She just stands out. Maybe I am being judgmental, but it's on a purely superficial level.

I continued to work with the person I mentioned previously for a couple of years. "She" was a much happier and out-going person. It really seemed like it was a very positive thing for her. She still looked manly...

I think we all need to pick up our eyebrow game.

Possibly the funniest thing I've seen in the Army was when a new private named Rivas shows up at Ft Polk. One Friday night, a bunch of us were drinking out on the stoops of the barracks. He walked up taking swigs from a bottle of Smirnoff and was clearly fucked up. Starts talking all this shit to some of the war vets talking about how they aren't special just because they went to combat and how he's tired of being treated like the fucking new guy. Just totally disrespecting some of them. Anyway, they just leave it alone and tell him to fuck off, and later that night we see Rivas just sitting up against a wall in the barracks and started fucking with him and realized he was pretty much barely conscious. My buddy Azure went and got his razors from his room, and shaved off one of the guys eyebrows. He was about to shave the other one, when another guy stepped in and said hell no, it'll be funnier to leave one. So after shaving the one we dragged him to his room and put him in his bed and called it a night. Didn't see him the rest of the weekend.

Monday morning at 0630 we all lined up in formation, and Rivas was there, still with only one fuckin eyebrow. The 1st Sergeant called him out and said "Goddamnit private, everything in the military must be uniform. When I see you at 0900 you will have two fucking eyebrows or zero!"

And what is it with these younger girls and the eyebrows? It seems like a dark heavy brow is now the thing. Even on a light-haired girl. Maybe especially on a light-haired girl.

Sure, but you strike me as somebody that's always been comfortable with yourself. Do you feel there were as many people trying to find themselves as when you were that age?

I don't know. I guess a lot of kids have conflicted thoughts about their sexuality. I can't say I ever did. Although now that I'm thinking about it, I did have kind of a crush on this kid Richie Pierson when we were about ten or eleven years old. It wasn't really sexual though. I mean, I didn't want to kiss him. I was really in love with a little dark-eyed girl named Sharon O'Brien. I wouldn't call that a particularly sexual thing either, but there was certainly a spark there of what would come a few years down the road. I've always been crazy about Irish girls. There is a courtyard here in Chicago. Down by the river where no one goes. We could be married there in the courtyard. By this old Spanish priest that no one knows.

I will say that the difference back then was that nobody would talk about this stuff. It's got to be hard to be gay. Even now in 2017. I was busting the balls of a couple of gay friends about the very gay places they always go on vacation. One of the guys said they have to be cognizant of where they're going because they aren't welcome everywhere. That really hit home for me. Such a thing had never occurred to me. That's privilege. That's why I think Milo is taking a lot of undeserved heat for what he said. It can't be the same for a gay kid in high school who is probably in the closet as it is for you and me. I can ask you out and you say no and I sulk and get over it. The gay kid doesn't know who he can ask. He may think another kid is gay, maybe they find each other. But maybe that kid is pretending he's not and it gets ugly. That's where the older guy comes in.

I appreciate your courage. You've inspired me to let you all know... I'm not gay, but I would definitely fuck Bradley Cooper. Seems like a strapping Alpha.

Can we start a thread on dudes we would plow?

And you showing what a petty jerk you can be.

Most of you know my situation, and as I've said before, it's not ideal. The absence of my husband is often felt and not great for my kids or our family. We may not even see it now but he makes the most of what he can. I used to feel more like FF but I don't know if that's correct anymore.

Some of us were smirking, but it was a company formation so probably like 150 or so soldiers so we didn't stand out or anything. Everybody was laughing their ass off the entire time we were running though.

It's one of the strangest things I've heard that Spaulding thinks gay parents shouldn't be allowed to adopt because her straight married situation isn't ideal.

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? Corporal Pittmike? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Rivas and you curse the U.S. Army. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that the removal of Rivas's eyebrow, while tragic, probably saved lives.

I exited an E-5... so to speak.

I'm a Light Colonel, son. That's O-5. And I was on Lyndon Johnson's staff. I'm busting you back to corporal. Hooah!

No what's really strange is you take the smallest most unimportant opinions people have and act as if their life is based on it and that's the totality of life or them as a person. The gay couples we know or have known are childless. If they had kids I'd show up to the shower and birthday parties happy with gifts. If I saw a family at a park or something I wouldn't treat them any differently than I treat any other family. When asked my opinion, no, I don't know if it's the best thing for everybody, but other than when you bring it up like it's some sticking point I give it zero thought and it has no impact on my or anyone else's life. I don't care much about this.

I know my family has trouble with missing a male figure in the house sometimes. It doesn't make much sense to me to set up families without one, same goes for a mother. I don't think I'd have done well in a house with 2 same sex parents, but who knows? It might just depend on the couple. I would think there are both sides. Some people that grew up in a same sex household would be for it and some would be against it.

At my past position I worked with a guy named Ron for 18 years. Mostly over phone/email etc so rarely seen. I still do business with that company and "he" is still there. Now though he is Veronica. Without having talked to "her" people would ask me about Veronica and I had to keep on asking who? Nothing wrong with it obviously but just odd to get used to.

I honestly don't feel that this is an unfair statement. They have the right to do whatever, but we all have the right to find it odd.

If your gay friends asked you if you thought they should be allowed to adopt what would you say?

Denying rights to gay couples is a big deal. I can bring it up at relevant times. You should be happy to defend your position if you feel it is right to deny gay couples the right to adopt.

I'd rather kids get adopted by gay parents, or a single parent, than remain in the system. The state makes a lousy parent.
