Bad choice of words, but the guy is not wrong. That widow is being used as a prop. I don't even understand why she would want to be there. Her husband died because of a poorly planned mission and Trump didn't even bother showing up to the situation room when he was killed.

Trump's got the media on his side now! Political correctness at its worst!

Why anyone would have a twitter account under their real name - unless it truly helped their personal branding - is beyond me. It's very likely that I would get drunk and tweet some inappropriate shit at bigfan, and nowadays that could get me shitcanned.

I think there are apps you can install that require you to pass some kind of sobriety test to use them after a certain point during the day, or locking them out altogether. I heard Spiegel talking about them awhile back when he developed a bad habit of 3+ scotch tweets, right around the time of the Cheryl Scott incident.

How long are we just going to gloss over the fact that all of the planning for this occurred under Obama? Yes, Trump pulled the trigger but you cannot pin the planning on him.

Perhaps there was a reason that Obama never gave the "go" to the raid, even though it was ready to roll for a couple of months. Sounds like Trump said "Fuck it, go," then blamed "his" generals and Obama when it went south.

The buck stops....over there somewhere....

I am not excusing Trump or the raid in general. I just would like a little accuracy. DB's post wasn't clear.

JFK took the blame for the Bay of Pigs fiasco early in his administration although he didn't plan it, it's what legitimate leaders do, or at least did until this clown and his supplicant snowflakes came along.

Yes, it was Obama who got Ryan killed but Trump who had a successful raid!

According to POTUS

The word is Obama sent it back: a requesting more/better intel, b. the raid would need a full moon and that would not occur until Trump was in office and c the raid represented an extension of military operations into Yemen that Obama thought should be approved by Trump, since Obama had a foot out the door.

Nonetheless, the Pentagon was quick to throw the WH under the bus when things went bad. Maybe because Trump was not in the situation room when they wanted direction once they knew they lacked the element of surprise?

Regardless, this dude is an idiot.

Yeah, but it's hard to feel sorry for these people when they get hoisted on their own petard. Like this Kilstein guy who was an aggressive "male feminist" and is now facing very vague accusations from a bunch of women who previously considered him an "ally".

Yeah, there's no real accusation other than he did some stuff some women didn't like and that apparently makes him a monster. Has it really gotten to the point that unless you do exactly what some broad tells you, you're a rapist?

Tweeting your opinion ( not threatening anyone but maybe only insensitive and borderline corrrect ) on your off hours from an account not linked to your employer shouldn't result in your getting fired though.

Beat me to it. He has Wolf of Wall Street confidence in his abilities. Although, even he seems flustered by the gender identity debate, which is as fluid as Colin Kaepernick's convictions.

All he had to do was stop short of directly calling the widow and idiot, and he would still have his job. Everything else was true and not out of line. It was a clear prop
