The closest I have come to doing such a thing was when I was in seventh grade and playing a computer version of Dungeons and Dragons. It was a DOS-based game where situations would arise, for example, "A dragon is standing in your path. What do you want to do?" and you would have to type in a response. If you simply said, "Kill dragon", the computer would respond, "With what?" If your character was weak it was altogether possible that the game would end right there. Occasionally frustration would ensue resulting in me typing something like, "Fuck dragon." The response was likely to be something like, "That doesn't sound like fun."

Alexa, Siri, and Cortana sound like Dan Bernstein's "au pairs"

I read a recent article in the WSJ by a lesbian who was complaining about the lack of male voice options available for Siri, Alexa, etc. Turns out that studies show that not only do most men prefer a female voice for their digital assistant, but most women do as well. But that didn't stop this columnist from bitching about it.

Personally, I go with the female voice with British accent for Siri.
