Why can't Sox nation enjoy their dominating WS of what 12 years now ago and be happy they didn't need an inspirational speech to get them over the hump.

Would you want that to work? You all said the same fucking thing about this. It'd be a pretty boring read.

Hey dumbfuck, those guys are arbitration eligible in '18 and '19. Do you think they won't get paid?

I'm sorry I got blood on your message board, Seacrests.

Frank, you are late to the thread. Your buddy JOE needed you about an hour ago when I was shredding his theory of Heyward's contract being prohibitive to the Cubs resigning their other young position players.

Lester has been pretty okay.

And for the record, if Hayward doesn't opt out I think the guy we end up losing down the line is Kyle Hendricks. Only because I'm already of the belief that you're not going to be able to keep both Bryant and Russell, especially with both being Boras clients.

You clearly don't understand how the arbitration system works. Maybe Keyser will explain it to you.

You clearly did not realize the level of cost control the Cubs had over their players, till I documented it out for you.

You have ZERO understanding of service time. The Cubs could have unilaterally renewed Bryant. He wasn't arb eligible. If all these guys play the way you hope they'll all be in line for big awards in '18 and '19. Document that.

And assuming the worst case scenario, where it goes to a judge, the financial amount will have a MUCH less of impact on payroll vs what these guys could get in the open FA market. And that's not counting the guys they buy out the pre arb years.

So yeah, while watching Heyward suck for the next few years will be unfortunate, Sox fans (trying to troll Cub fans) will have to find a new "narrative" in that regard.

DOCUMENT THAT!

 I know you know he doesn't. But I accept that your Cub fan identity politics are forcing you to support him.
