Why are these guys doing a bar remote on a Saturday morning? Weren't they just in Arizona and they have to come back to do a Saturday morning remote in Des Plaines?

Weird.

They're doing it next Saturday too.

Spiegel is going to start making fun of me for half-assing my job.

I was wrong. Sounds like they are at "The Jewels" (I think they're doing it wrong).

They were definitely talking about a bar and how many beers that have been sold earlier, though. Is "The Jewels" opening side-bars now?

Parkins with a wicked burn on Spiegel just now.

They had a guest on, talking about the atmosphere in whatever city the Northwestern game is being played, and he said "there's a comic book convention going on here, too, and there's guys out on the sidewalk having lightsaber fights, and you can imagine how guys who have light saber fights look..."

[pause amid muted chuckling]

Parkins: "Like Spiegel!"

I haven't listened to a ton of S&P. But, I'm pretty sure I like Parkins.

Parkins is good. After all the bitching we do about the others, it's hard not to like him. He's polished but not in an overly douchey way.

Have we considered the fact that the "cheap shots" might be a "bit" and Spiegel is going along with it?

I guess this is the first bar in a Jewel. And they plan on doing more of them. I guess it's a good concept. Spiegel said they let you carry your drink around the store as you shop. You just put it in the cup holder in the cart.

By the way, $9.99 for a case of Miller Lite at Jewel this weekend. I've never seen it that low. Once Parkins informed me, I bought a couple this morning. Limit 2.

My first reaction was that someone didn't make in this morning so they were replaying yesterday's show.

Jjo DJs do morning remotes at 7am with bands and get drunk on air then they go to off air remotes that same night to promote other bullshit. They basically get paid to drink on air.
