Season premier of DWTS tonight. Chicago's own David Ross opens up with Lindsay
http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-th ... say-arnold

As you can see, his partner, the lovely Lindsay Arnold is experienced in a variety of Dance, including Latin Dance. David also has over a decade experience working with Latins, so I think this is a great paring.

Working in David's favor is that the only current(or just retired) professional athlete in the competition is running back Rashad Jennings, a very useful Fantasy Football utility running back for those that play.

While David's acting skills may be limited to a brief SNL cameo, I do believe he's got the charisma and presence to advance past the 1st round tonight.

Laugh all you want, but last year, Jon Lester's caddie was still worth more Wins Above Replacement than every single catcher on the White Sox roster.

I see they are using the term star as loosely as Celebrity Apprentice used the word celebrity.

Have been for years.

I'm sure Pasta is waiting for this one with baited breath...hopefully there aren't any storms to preempt coverage this time...

He needs to sprain an ankle.

He's going to spend the next two years saying absolutely nothing interesting while he's playing with his kids, and then he'll eventually come back and either be Maddon's bench coach until Joe retires, or be on Sunday Night Baseball staring at Jessica Mendoza's ass.

How any self respecting heterosexual man participates in or watches this show is beyond me. But I guess this is quintessentially Cubbie :flower:

I'm glad David Ross was able to have a better year than Dioner Navarro and Alex Avila.

You Cubs fans are a fucking ridiculous lot. A hundred and some odd wins and a world championship isn't enough to keep you hosers from having a pissing match on the subject of backup catchers.

You accused Cubs fans of becoming complacent after a World Series victory.

Nah man. Still ready to break down vORP, backup catchers and attendance figures.

I've never seen this show. Don't get the appeal. I turned it on for the first time tonight and thought it was America's Funniest Videos because of the host.

Did they really have to dress up Ross in a Cubs Dance jersey? It looks ridiculous. I saw that and thought he was going to squat down and catch some pitches.

Wow,you guys have the wrong Jimmy. I hate DWTS and didn't bother to check in on Rossy last night either. I figure I can see him on replay somewhere.

That doesn't bode well for this season. But maybe you can capture the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Maybe the White Sox can capture 4th place in the A.L. Central.

Maybe. But what does that have to do with the Cubs losing key component David Ross?
