When I was a teenager I preferred joints
Now being almost 30 I much prefer my hitter box in the car and the bong at home

I have noticed that the way weed is consumed has changed a lot since I was a teenager. It used to be a communal activity. Pass the pipe, pass the j. Now it seems like the dope-smokers I know fire up one-hitters by themselves. Maybe it has something to do with the costs going up.

First of all, the kids are vaping these days. Pens, oil rigs, the whole nine yards. Google that shit.

I like the one-hitter or the vape pen when I am by myself. My wife is just a weekend toker at this point, so the one-iron, as I refer to it on the golf course, comes in handy. If I am with others, I fire up the glass pipe. The bong comes out on special occasions.

I think it's still communal for the most part but obviously as you get older you're less likely to smoke with other people simply because you have shit to do and can't sit around on a couch smoking all day with your friends like teenagers do.

I think Seacrest chased him away for good.

Choice of smoking instrument is all about time, place and purpose. It's like deciding whether I phone, text or email someone.

Since the downside of smoking a joint is that you actually become a joint, there is no better place than outdoors like the golf course.

The fake cigarette/one-hitter is still a big hit with me.

Many moons ago, a buddy of mine had his DARE diploma hanging on his wall. We would laugh about it every time we sparked it up.

This guy gets it. Mine has been used so much, the orange and white paint have almost completely disappeared.

dab rig and blow torch. That's pretty much the only way I consume nowadays. Don't smoke the plant anymore unless I am on the golf course. I'm all about shatter, the most potent form of concentrated marijuana.

I still consume the plant mostly but do enjoy moonrocks when they're available

I rarely leave home without the fake cigarette, needed as much as actual cigarettes

What's a moonrock? That's a slang I'm not familiar with.

I'm not 100% up on the latest tech, but I don't think the good shatter is made with butane anymore.

What is live rosin? (thought it was resin). I've seen it listed on menus, but don't know what it is or how's consumed. Is it as potent as shatter?

literally no one gives a shit about weed enforcement anymore. Law enforcement would be lucky to get $100 budget for weed laws, if any still exist.

I was making bho for years until someone showed me the best extraction process was just heat and pressure with a press a few years ago, no harmful solvents or residue.

Butane is cheap and readily available. Even with a good vacuum pump and oven..butane residue remains... CO2 extraction is pretty expensive, not many places can afford the equipment.

I think just today some sort of recreational marijuana law is being talked about in Illinois if I heard the news right

I get real high end stuff imported from Colorado. I've been told there was no butane involved. I definitely don't taste any butane.

You're right! Looks like they won't attempt to get it voted on until next year, but the wheels are in motion. Don't know how a bankrupt state could ever pass up the free money that comes with legal weed. Seems almost negligent to do so considering what that money could be used for.

I'd love to see some political ads where opponents of Raumer point out all the wonderful things Colorado has been able to do with their drug money and then contrast that to all the broke government programs here in Illinois that would be saved with drug money. Time to go on the offensive!

I think that it was 15 yrs ago while sitting in a Branch courtroom that I first saw a stream of small weed cases get dismissed with an admonition from the bench to: "don't do drugs". After the surprise wore off, it became funny as hell.

I don't smoke, but CBD seems to be working well for me & I must admit to wondering about making a change :sunny:

Even years ago Chicago was ahead of the game. I remember 20 years ago my buddy got busted for pissing on the side of someone's house next to Lucky Strike on Lincoln and Diversey. Cops found a full one hitter on him. They took it and told my buddy that after he gets bailed out he can pick up his one hitter at the front desk. Sure enough, he stopped by Area 6 the next day and they gave him a brown envelope with his full one hitter in it.
