I'm almost positive if that any woman invited me to go to dinner with her I would turn her down. I can't come up with a good reason I would.

I would attempt to avoid it with virtually any other option. I just don't think it's a big difference.

Also, you have to keep in mind he is a politician. A photo of him eating dinner with a woman who isn't his wife could be damaging to his career even if it was platonic.
