Everyone loves 1985 and all Sox fans love 2005 too. Your anecdotes aren't any better than those.

Of course you would rather your team wins titles every year but when you look back at your sporting life 40 years ago you'll care much more about 2016 than you will about 2021.

All anyone needs is to see their teams win one championship while they are old enough to remember it. The others are nice but ultimately you aren't much better off with 1 or 2 or 10 titles.

Disagree.

I'm a much happier Blackhawks fan now than I was in 2011.

No surprise. You've stood by every Cubs statement so far and they've all turned out poorly for you.

This assumes the Cubs choose to address this problem via free agency. As you and I have discussed before, all this takes is one Schwarber for Quintana trade and that 40mm figure starts at 12mm.

The Cubs still have two assets, cash and young promising players.

Gonna cost more than Schwarber for Quintana.

1985 ended up being a representation of failure and as pathetic a callback as 1908 was. It was over 30 years ago. Stfu.

2005 wad a clear fluke.

Isn't .997 the 2005 Sox postseason winning percentage?

FAR SUPERIOR to the 2016 Cubs...

A tale of two World Series champions. One team went on a 11-1 postseason run, which you may never see again. Another team needed extra innings in game 7 and a rainout to stop the other team's momentum.

One team definitely sounds like a fluke. It's not the Sox though.

That same team also needed thier closer to throw 200 some pitches over 3 games.

The other team didnt even need a bullpen to win the pennant.

Oh, you're still crying over one of the best teams in baseball over the last few decades winning the World Series?

I'm sorry you cant tell the difference between the domination of 2005 and the fluke of 2016.

It's starting to again become easy to root against the Cubbies and many of their fans.

Thankfully MadBum is providing the real baseball highlights today.

Hopefully the Redbirds can build on it this evening

 dont act like you ever stopped rooting against the Cubs and their fans.

No win of the World Series is a fluke. But I get that some have to find something to ease their frustration at the total suckage of their team for the next few years. Let it out Sox fans.

RR isn't just "annoyed" with the Cubs. He hates them to his very core.

Despite escorting 10+ fWAR out the door in Sale and Eaton, from a 78 win team, America thinks the White Sox are going to win more than 75 games, that's cute. I almost spit out my Old Style reading that.

Says the guy who must find a way to interject the White Sox into every single Cubs discussion he takes part in.

IMU, a noted Cubs fan, was the one who used "fluke" first.

No, actually I sincerely tried to just ignore them. But like a dog passing a tree, the unrelenting force of nature was too strong.

I HATE that sonuvabitch more than I hated Larry Bird for years behind what he did to DePaul.

I just hope that Aroldis gets a crack at the bastard with a base open. Soon
