I'm with on the framework of this, of course provided the hallway is large and they move their slow fat ass to the side, so others can pass, it doesn't bother me, but it always seems they take up the middle of whatever walkway and seem indifferent to the fact others want to move faster.

This is why I prefer to go to Comiskey rather than Wrigley where it's not a problem.

Still not as bad as the slobs who leave their carts in the middle of the aisle, as they waddle over for another free sample at Costco.

Agree w/ the DB, but these people tend to also do everything slow. They walk slowly, they talk slowly, they complete tasks slowly, and they are generally irritating.

For sure. There is no reason that you need to drag your shopping cart in front of a crowded deli counter.

In a recent article about escalators, it was noted that the "stand right, walk left" policy not only damages the escalator due to unbalanced weight distribution, but also results in slower traffic. The wait times of the people loading (pre-escalator) are increased because the left side is underutilized. The study also said that times are slower because while in other countries people stand on each step, Americans usually stand on every other step (probably because we are fat and can't stand being next to other people).

I dislike when the slow walkers move their arms in a circular motion rather than up and back to walk. They make themselves bigger than they already are, essentially filling two possible lanes of walking.

rules of the road should apply to walking as well... slow folks stay on the far right.

what's more annoying is people who walk down the middle of the parking aisle... everyone enjoys riding the break going 2 mph behind you as you obviously walk down the middle of the aisle.... because you dont have common sense enough to walk on the side of the parking aisle

I agree. Malls especially need to install solid yellow center lines with clear intersections for crossing over.

i think these are the same people who park their car just a bit over the lines so they can use up two parking spaces as well.

People often stand inna middle of those airport thingies that move people along thru the terminals.
Stop doing that. Better yet, stay home and watch basketball games or futbol.
