I'd expect the bottom to drop out of the fanbase. Hockey's back to being dead.
honestly i'm looking forward to that. this blackhawks bandwagon has been the most annoying bandwagon i've ever got to experience up-close-n-"personnel" in my [sports] lifetime, cuz man oh man it's so flagrantly obvious that these people aren't fans of
hockey, they're fans of
winning.
best example i got = when the playoffs started for what would be the eventual first cup run, i was at some joint in mokena where the reverend bob levy was leading "the hack pack" [aka "the killers of comedy tour"] to do a stern-show-sy standup comedy night. so me and my brother are hanging out by the bar.... the rev Himself stopped by and chatted with us for a good 5mins, other hangers-on-types did too, and we were having a gay ol time until out of nowhere some soccer mom bitch in a KANE/88 jersey SHUSHed me because see, even tho there was a ~$20-30/ticket comedy show going on at this place tonight the hawks were starting their playoff run AND EVEN THO THIS BITCH WAS AT A FUCKING BAR she literally expected everyone around her to shut up so she could hear the commentators during the game..... at the first puck drop of the first game of the 2010 playoffs no less!
it was at that point that i was like "we ain't in kansas anymore, toto!" and thus
THE bandwagon was off..... and quite honestly it's gonna be refreshing to have all these superficial twats around here stop pretending like they actually give a fuck about hockey cuz NEWSFLASH: THEY DIDN'T, THEY DON'T, AND THEY NEVER WILL! THEY JUST WANTED AN EXCUSE TO FEEL LIKE WINNERS [at, what, at least $100-150 for a replica sweater [jersey] ?? #GetItHowYouLive, huh? =]
Had no idea that tour stopped in Mokena. Nobody kills and buries comedy more completely than Shuli. I don't see Beet bothering to show up in a Mokena, IL.
