I'd be happy with 20 and I think he would be too.

Bargain contract.

Don't watch the Cubs until the playoffs.

It worked last year.

Can you imagine how great of a baseball player Jason Heyward could be if he could actually hit a baseball?

I'm starting to think this is cosmic payback for all those January news reports that I read that Gary Scott/Brooks Kieschnick/Kevin Orie/Adam Dunn/Gordon Beckham/Julio Zuleta/etc has finally figured it out and is ripping the cover off the ball.

If Heyward can do this, think how good Tebow is going to be.

Is he still doing circumcisions on the side?

Asking for a friend.

Mike Murphy voice plus echo : I PREDICT.....

Mike Murphy soft voice : that Jason Heyward will hit 25 home runs this season. Maybe.........just maybe...... 30 home runs if the conditions are right.

I do not understand why people pay much attention to any stats or W/Ls during the preseason.

There is very little that can be determined for any of it.

Let's see what Heyward does when the real games start. If he is awful again there will be plenty of time to bitch about him then.

Heyward's HR total will be less than 50 divided by 2.

I like many Cub fans wanted him benched last season, but I always rooted for him. He is a class guy from what I can see during interviews. I'm hoping for the following numbers at years end.

.275 average

340 to 360 OBP

15-20 HR's

50-75 RBI's

With his great defense, those numbers will be a huge plus in this lineup.

I think that's a good bet. He's only had more than 18 in a season once. A better question is whether or not he will top 50 RBI? he only had 49 RBI last season, with just 7 HR. I'm guessing he will be around 16 HR and 65 RBI. I hope he proves me wrong by a lot, and reverts back to his career highs of 27HR and 82 RBI, which is really a low RBI total for a guy who hit 27 HR. Shows he tends not to hit especially well with runners on base.
