Early and late run the same course. This team has looked dead ass since the start and I am not impressed at all with this bullshit so far. Starting pitching has been a suckfest bullpen iffy and they better get it together

Perhaps CH was on something .... I mean, on to something .... maybe both.

i dont think cubs fans are self important. I think you only think that because you're a sox fan and you have that inferiority complex when it comes to the cubs. Which I can understand. if the roles were reversed I would be the same way.

When the Red Sox won the WS, everyone in the whole world was wearing red sox gear. Non fans, bandwagon jumpers, the general population.

When the Cubs won the Ws, you didnt see the same thing. Cub fans are cub fans from long back. I think you gained some new fans because the team is good and likable, but nowhere like the bandwagon cultural jumping across the country when you saw the Red Sox win.

His team is unexpectedly in first place at the end of April and the first thing he does he post in the Cubs section.

I guess the subtle incongruity of a cub fan saying they are not self important when the lines to the team anthem detail how great they are as fans is lost on you.

According to baseball-reference.com...

In 142 seasons, the Cubs have won 10,723 games with a .513 win percentage.

In 117 seasons, the White Sox won 9,093 games with a .504 win percentage.

Cubs franchise is 25 years older than the White Sox.

Godfella, I think it is about even since 1901? The Cubs might be a little ahead...but both franchises suck. 132 years/6 championships.

Yeah - I was curious so I looked it up and just decided to post it for the heck of it.

You would think that there was more than 6 championships between them in all that time.

come on. if a stupid song from the 80s is the basis of your argument then you got nothing. Why did you even post this? If I were a Sox fan i would not even care about the Cubs and vice versa.

White Sox! White Sox!
Go-Go White Sox!
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox
We're with you all the way!
You're always in there fighting,
And you do your best.
We're glad to have you out there in the Middle West.
We're gonna root-root-root-root White Sox.
And cheer you on to victory.
When we're in the stands,
We'll make those rafters ring;
All through the season,
You will hear us sing.
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox,
Chicago's proud of you!

White Sox! White Sox!
Go-Go White Sox!

Root-Root-Root for the White Sox.
We'll cheer you on to victory.
When we're in the stands,
We'll make those rafters ring;
All through the season,
You will hear us sing.
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox,
Chicago's proud of you! (Play ball!)

yes. if the roles were reversed I dont think any Cubs fan would really care if the Sox were doing great. Especially now after the WS win. Frankly I dont know where the rivalry is right now. When we were kids, we use to get into physical fist fights in the neighborhood between sox and cubs fans. fighting over baseball clubs seems stupid now as an adult, but it was a big deal w/ kids back in the day. I dont think kids growing up these days even care on both sides. if a sox fan wants to beat up on the cubs, he can play a videogame and do it and still keep his nose straight.
