I think he panicked. Nothing indicated that anyone was going to jump up to #2. Cleveland tried to drum up interest that they were going to take him #1. NO ONE believed that bullshit except Pace's dumbass.

This dude really showed with this draft, he is fucking clueless. This was suppose to be a DB heavy draft. So what does he do with his 1st 2 picks? Pass on on DB. Had the perfect oppurtunity to add either a S or CB with the 1st rd pick, and traded a shit load to draft a QB who started 1yr. 2nd rd rolls around, and there is both a CB and S sitting there as well as a RT, and he passes to make up for this stupid trade to acquire more pick. Guy is as clueless as his predecessor.
