i think he's tied with Goff now. Something about his kid having heart surgery which I'm sure turned into a diatribe about health care which is fine but then keep it together when talking about Don Rickles. Sack up.

Considering his newborn son had to have fucking open heart surgery, I think it's ok...

Tough times for comics.

Jim Gaffigan just revealed his wife had brain tumor surgery.

They have 5 children.

The guy is weepy on the air on an almost monthly basis. Didn't he cry for Harambe? You can't be the host of The Man Show and be that emotional

It's the Disney effect imo.

It's also why I look upon adult Disney (world) fans with Heavy Suspicion

On a serious note, I think this is an appropriate moment for that.

On a less serious note, I think dating Sarah Silverman requires one to turn in their man card.

To emphasize, this again.

My wife and I had a son in December. The docs heard a murmur and ordered the echo cardiogram. You're sitting in a dark room with this impossibly fragile human who you are in charge of protecting, wondering if there is a problem how do they even fix it. What is a baby's heart, the size of a half dollar?

There is no greater feeling of helplessness then staring at a 20 hour old human being undergoing a test to determine if his heart is a viable organ to sustain human life for any prolonged period of time.

I call bullshit. They have Marvel and Star Wars now so we adults now have a legit excuse to go.

What do you call a comedian's retirement fund? A swear jar.

I took it to mean that Disney's influence on ABC has quite often led their programming into the maudlin and edgeless, and I'd certainly agree. But actually, once you cut through the schmaltz of it all, an impassioned plea for universal healthcare is about the most subversive thing ABC has done in years.

Yeah why doesn't ABC hold up a mirror to society like they used to do with Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place?

That doesn't even make sense. Are we doing a little traveling circus here, going from thread to thread?

This. Plus one of the most miserable vacations I've ever had was four days stuck in Orlando (and we got in all the parks with speedpasses for free). It's just too saccharine for me.

But on another note, noted deadbeat dad Joe Walsh has chimed in with a tweet admonishing Kimmel for humanizing the case for the ACA and expanded public health care.

Good on Kimmel for firing back at the "He's just a Hollywood elitist derp! derp!" crowd last night.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Kimmel was great until he dated Sarah Silverman and she castrated him.
