That's like being forced to choose between the Cubbies and the Red Sox

My guy ran across a museum in his home town dedicated to the man. Probably more than enough. Odd little dump.

The only worse museum is the Elvis Is Alive Museum in Missourah. I think it is closed (or not?) and now exists online only....which I'd think defeats the purpose of seeing cool stuff in person.

False, Zhukov won WWII.

Stalin did just about everything he could to lose that war (purging his generals, having GRU destroy unit morale, etc.) It was only Zhukov who was able to overcome the unintentional sabotage from the top and win the war with major logistical support via Lend-Lease.

Stalin knew this and tried to destroy Zhukov after the war.

As far as Stalin is concerned, he should be put next to Hitler and the Holodomor is all that needs to be said.

As a former Russophile, I'm impressed by your knowledge. I'm just glad we live in a world in which Zhukov is translated as "Zhukov" and not "Chuikov." Confused the Christ out of me during my salad days. A+ post.

Russian history and lit burnout....no longer relevant, I guess. Now Lorraine Hansberry--she's still relevant (which, in some ways, is scary).

I thought the same thing. I'm somewhat familiar with the famous general and whenever I'd see his name I'd think Boris Zhukov.

Nikita Koloff was highly underrated. I can still hear Schiavione yelling "RUSSIAN CYCLE,

My walking/writing guy recently ran across another museum. A year's walk down the road in Bishkek another post reference to Stalin, and Frunze whom he most likely had killed. Same unfortunate state of affairs at the museum it seems. Interesting stuff nonetheless.
