An unbiased person who has never applied for a job in a Theo administration was on the Score this weekend and said Happ is ranked higher than Moncada in his rankings

Obviously we don't know what either of these two prospects will be at the major league level, but you've gotta admit dolphin, when it comes to identifying guys who can hit at the MLB level, Theo has a pretty good track record.

And for the record, I'm not saying Happ is better or will be better than Moncada.

I hope you evaluate the 18 to 21 year olds a hellava lot better than you evaluate the 22 to 35 year olds who play on the White Sox.

In addition to kicking around some ideas with Kris Bryant, which didn’t seem to gain much traction, the Cubs held some talks over the winter with catcher Willson Contreras, according to Heyman. It seems that the backstop’s reps weren’t keen on Chicago’s ideas, which would’ve included “multiple options” — no surprise, given that Contreras has just 108 days of MLB service under his belt.

Disclaimer that this is not a troll job. Things like this were mentioned as a flaw in some people's thinking. Not all of these great pieces are going to roll over or take lesser deals in order to remain part of the great organization.

I haven't been paying attention. Has Grimm been having a rough go this season?

His command is shit and he has options but I didn't think he was that awful. Better than strop or duensing.

Better than Strop?!?!? Check out their numbers on the year before saying that.

The Strop hate around here is always funny.

Strop has had a couple bad outings. Grimm has pretty much been bad in every outing.

They should get something decent back for him, probably a young arm.

I believe it will be a claim and a trade. It had to happen but too bad fucking Anderson wasn't run out of town instead.

Patrick Mooney ✔@CSNMooney

Joe Maddon says Brett Anderson (back) will probably go on DL with Mike Montgomery or Eddie Butler as options to move into #Cubs rotation.

Fuck the dl. Ship his ass out. They should have shown his statement towards the fans last season on the Jumbotron yesterday when he was dying out there in the first.

Yup. Should have never been signed in the first place.

Yeah his is a POS. What's his contract, 5M? Lucky they got 2 victories out of his sorry ass. Maybe DL him until rosters expand then have him eat innings in blowouts. Jason Hammel and Travis Wood both have sucked too so maybe Butler will turn out decent.

I wonder how hard they are pushing to trade Candelario and others (maybe Szczur) for another arm. Lots of rental type guys out there plus SF has luxury tax issues and may make Cueto available.

If they somehow got Cueto they're in the WS for sure this year. But you'd have to give up a lot to get someone of his caliber.

Anyone have May 7 in the "Anderson's First Trip To The DL" pool?
