We've been on a sushi kick lately but have run out of new places out here in white man's land. Anyone have any recommendations or unique places they've tried?

Arami is really good.

If you're really into sushi you should try to get to Katsu before Katsu dies or retires. It's expensive as hell, but well worth it. There's not a better sushi restaurant in the Chicago area. Katsu is a true artist.

Would love to try Katsu. Only problem is I feel like an amateur at places like that sometimes. You should meet us there and help me make sure I don't order like a doofus.

Sakuma's on 59

Sushi by Chef Soon at Seven Bridges

I haven't been to the former in a while but they used to cater the Sox Japanese players in the clubhouse.

The latter is excellent.

4 course sashimi for $120. For an occasional meal, that's not terrible.

The cuts of fish are about the size of your finger nail I bet.

Probably true. I'm ok with that though. I don't look to gorge on raw fish. Get the sashimi with a couple cheaper sides.

I enjoy TL's in Bartlett. Plus if you have a non-sushi eater with you they have traditional cantonese dishes.
