5/18/2017: Removing Jon Lester way too early after he was mowing down the Reds lineup with ease.

He was at 96 pitches you fucking idiot. Sorry Maddon isn't 'Dusty Baker' enough for you.

He threw 120 and 112 pitches his last two starts, respectively. Pennants are not won in May, numb nuts.

He's had a rough stretch. The playoffs were brutal.

All wins count the same. Your tee ball coach's favorite sayings aren't applicable.

Jon Lester is your ace. A horse. 96 pitches might as well be a side day for Jon Lester. You let him start the inning...let him finish it without Rondon fucking it up.

Cubs were up 9-1. Save the bullets in Lester's arm. Zero issues with that move.

Then why have him start the inning in the first place?

And when you take him out, why Rondon? Everyone and their mother knows Rondon sucks when he comes in during a dirty inning.

This is simple stuff.

9-1 seems like a great opportunity to work on that part of his game.

I can't find today's game pitch count by inning yet, but guessing he was low 80s? It was likely his last inning either way.

He was at 86.

Okay, three pitches doesn't change anything there.

I see your point, but wouldn't move this into Fuck Up land. More, I would have played it differentlyville

I just turned the game on and the Cubs are up 5. I'm okay with saving Lester for the playoffs.

Yeah this one really isn't bad. Don't worry there'll be plenty of actual shit moves
to fill this thread up by the end of the year

This is just the fuck up that happened today. I'm not retroactively building this thread. There will be plenty of content in the coming months.

The Cubs won the game comfortably. They also saved a few bullets on Lester's arm and got some work in for the pen so they can find out what they have (and don't have). Maddon fucks up, no doubt. But not in this case.

If your goal is to put your baseball stupidity on a huge pedestal, for all of those to see, you are doing a great job.

I stand by my thoughts on this, and all other topics. My litmus test in finding out how little people know about baseball? How often they disagree with me.

But please, be my guest. Try to come after each and every post I make. I am happy to demo for the crowd.

Uniqueness. I'm guessing that's the story your mom told you as she put you on the empty Short Bus to school.

Or the story I told the short bus driver as I put myself in your mom.

Statements like this are why people want to (justifiably) throw you through windows.

That's pretty gross.

Seriously, look around. Nobody agrees with you. You aren't special. You are just stupid.

I've heard differently. In fact, there are (audible gasp) occasions where members of this very board have specifically sought out my baseball opinions.

They must have wanted a good laugh.

Up a shitload of runs?
May?
Yeah go ahead and pull your starter.
No problem with this move.

There's legit things to be upset with Maddon about. This isn't one of them.

Ace Jon did his job, 6 innings and 3 ER. What more do you expect for 20 million?
