I heard this first one, and I knew there was a different one in my memory...

I googled a bit and found this, and somehow knew all the words from memory:

Out of all the things my brain does, I don't need it to version theme songs from the 1980s. If only there was a way to tell your brain to think about more important things!

the daughters in that show were messed up (at least the youngest two were).

i hated that show. i also didn't know that a slower, lamer theme song existed.

If I recall correctly, Dolph Sweet, who played the father died a few seasons into the show. This caused them to add more parents to the cast, resulting in intro #1 that you posted. Somehow Joey Lawrence and his brother were also added to the cast.

I was young when this was on TV but I remember thinking Telma Hopkins was pretty. She has been a role character in a lot of TV comedies over the years.

Telma was cute.

Dolph Sweet seemed like a major jag, though. One of those crab-ass, style-challenged guys who never smiles and always smells like Brut for Men.

He was playing an ageing cop. It sounds like he played the role well from your perspective

Add me to this list. But I never had any interest in the show...
