There was a time, in the long long ago, a man started writing for a magazine. He was then brought on board to be part of a creative process on a TV show. The ratings for that show went through the roof, and in the middle of it, the rival TV show hired that man and his friend to come to their side to beat down their competition. It didn't work. That man proceeded to drive that organization into the ground so hard and so fast, it didn't know what hit it. That company fired that man and proceeded to close its doors.

The man got another creative job for a new company. It didn't go much better.

Now he records podcasts and spouts off online about bullshit that he doesn't agree with.

That man is Vince Russo.

Here's hoping Senior Columnist follows Vince Russo's career path from here on out. It's got to be better than whatever the fuck he is doing now.

Boyd is on fire lately.

Should make this the Bernstein writes thread. Dan says the NBA is great because there was a solid quarter of basketball. It made is waste of a season and playoffs all worth it.

(CBS) As an opening act that may also have been revealed as a last gasp, the first quarter that began the NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cavaliers on Thursday night was something to be savored forever.

It was for those who may long have wondered what an All-Star Game would look like with everyone trying as hard as possible and everything at stake, with exchanges of shot-making brilliance and end-to-end attack and dunk after dunk over and upon defenders while officials let the players be the show. LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were all on full display at the peak of their respective powers, taking turns making us stand up from the couch or run around the room in amazement.

We waited nearly a year for this and were well rewarded.

This series may not last long, is the shame of it. The Warriors proved all but unguardable, even with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green misfiring. There’s just too much for Cleveland to account for, too much to stop amid spacing and movement that stretches them too thin.

It felt like it couldn’t sustain, and it didn’t. The second units came in and it settled down, dissipating the magic as Golden State asserted its expected dominance. But all of that still happened, glorious as it was. We’ll take any more of it we can get.

The Warriors lead by 5 at the quarter, which extrapolates to a 20 point win, very similar to what the final difference was at the end.

It is pretty funny that Dan is the same guy that rips on people for putting importance on individual regular season wins and yet here he is celebrating the first quarter of a game between two teams that hadn't played a game in over a week because it was kind of close.

the only way the second thing happens is for the Diamonbacks to fall out. Cubs won't trade young talent for a rental. This isn't 2016. They will be fighting the whole way to stay in contention for the division. This roster is the bed they have made for 2017, they will sleep in it.

His article should simply read:
"The Cubs are not very good at baseball in 2017"

Still a 88-90 win team as constructed right now. Deals to be made yet. 1/3 of the way as bad as they have been they win this shit division. By 5 games at least.
