No. Excruciating as in boring as fuck.

Dayum that's cold. bust any confidence he still had.

It's time to Theo to put his money where his mouth is. He has consistently spouted off about Schwarber's makeup, drive, intangibles, blah, blah, blah.

If that's the case, and truly the case, then Schwarber is the guy that they should have no qualms about sending down to Iowa to get 50-75 plate appearances to work out whatever is fucked up with his swing or approach. They shouldn't have to worry about him sulking or not working or any of that ego shit. According to Theo he's an off the charts as a makeup and character guy.

Send him down, tell him what to work on, tell him we'll see you in July. If Theo believes what he says, he should believe that going to AAA will motivate Schwarbs, and not hurt his confidence.

Should have been sent down three weeks ago. They love Baby Ruth.

Looks like Schwarber's last stand.

If he is hitting in the ~180's and batting 9th, the One Post is correct. Its really amazing that the Cubs have so damn stubborn with Schwarber, given that just about everything else they have done over the past 2-3 years has been the right decision. Objectively, there is simply no reason that Schwarber should have been playing in the majors after May 10th. His defense sucks and he has been virtually an automatic out nearly every game.

I really think his struggles at the leadoff spot fucked with his head, and Maddon's refusal to move him out of there quicker did far more damage than Joe's stubborn ass will ever admit.

Thru the first 2-3 weeks of the season his OB% was pretty good, but even that has plummeted over the last month.

As a lifelong Cub fan,I'm trying to remember being more disappointed by a hitter than Schwarber this season.

Oh,wait JHEY in 2016.

I would have been fine with .260/.340/.450 with about 25 knocks and 70 RBI this year. Some Matt Stairs type stats.I never expected this.

Theo is enamored with him. I believe it has been mentioned on the Score that a drunken Theo is the person that referred to Schwarber as "Babe Fuckin' Ruth"

He is a TTO guy... problem is, 2 of those outcomes suck right now.

Another bunt situation, though Leake is a good hitter. Lester looks off out there. Make him play our game.

Bruce Levine said this morning that Heyward hurt his wrist last year and that was the reason for his awfulness . Said Heyward didn't want my that info to get out as it would be seen as excuse making. Interesting .

yeah that is interesting. But if that is true, then why such an emphasis on rebuilding his swing in the offseason?

I was just thinking "pretty good at bat by Heyward here", which of course ended in him rolling over one to second.

 look at Lester with the pick off.

Tim McCarver had just said "He wont throw over!" and boom out!

Fuck those guys staring into the Cardinal dugout. Until Lester throws over to first more often than once every 2000 pitches, guys should be taking 30' leadoffs on him.

Why he didn't just take off to second, I can't figure. I mean there's messing with a guy, and there's just being dumb.

Tim McCarver is such an idiot

Calling out Sosa for looking like the biggest freak during the roid era.

Hey dipshit, you realize McGuire was on your fucking team
