Since you claim this was a response to me, if you truly feared for your safety from chas, then you would not be attacking him how you are. You would leave him alone to avoid any future issues. You do have a valid justification for feeling that way but you aren't acting like a guy that wants to avoid confrontation with him here. That is the point. You can't act like you are scared of chas and then also continue to antagonize him. It makes your claim of being scared of him seem hollow and instead just a chance to once again jump on a guy who you don't like and haven't liked for a long time.

Honestly, I don't really give a shit about what his story was. I do still feel bad that his brother died, though.

As far as his prior threats or whatever they were to Nas and McNown, if I were in their shoes and the threats sounded real (I don't know, nor will I speculate on the circumstances), as they both have families at home, I would react the way they do, I think. I know if someone threatened my family, there'd be a whole shit storm that would start.

My basic observations of chas, prior to last week's information, is that he's an internet tough guy, that incoherently rambles about stuff, and thinks he's an expert on MANY things...and even before he discussed any of the actual mental issues going on, I suspected them to be the case...

That said, I would think things he did in the past, (threats and attempts to get the personal addresses, etc of board members) would be more grounds for banishment than him appearing on a registry for a 10 year old crime.

Its difficult for people to separate the pedophilia from the fact that it is Chas that committed it. Chas is part of the story rightly or wrongly. He has taken personal shots at people including me. I have not gone all in on the guy over this and I have attempted to refrain from making comments but I just can't get past the fact that it is him that committed it. I can recall him questioning FF's military service. That was a personal attack frankly. When i listed academic credentials he questioned that. He ran around for awhile telling me essentially to "stay in my place" which I could have construed as bigoted. Some of the other things that he's done to people predate me posting on here regularly but they were offensive and in some cases threatening.

I would not have checked into the dude's criminal record because honestly I don't give a fuck. I'm not going to bash someone else that has though. I don't think he has earned the right to be defended because too often he has made this a place to air personal grievances that he has with people. He even used his brother's death in some ways to do so. He got mad because certain quarters didn't send condolescences. They don't owe him that. If they choose to then fine but he used that instance as a way to take shots at people. He knew he had a certain amount of goodwill because of the grieving process. It was tasteless and classless but he received a pass on it. Actually whoever did this may have taken that shot into account.
