'Manspreading' is now a no-no on Madrid's public buses



Along with signs for 'no smoking' or 'no littering,' commuters in Madrid will soon see a new unfamiliar one: No manspreading.

The transit agency in the Spanish city said it will post the signs on all buses asking men to keep to one seat and one seat only.
Manspreading, in case you didn't know, is when men spread their legs with no regard to others' personal space.

It's been about 20 years since I regularly used public transportation and do not recall this being a widespread problem. There have always been people, both men and women, who put their stuff on an empty seat even when there are no other seats are available and people are standing, but I do not recall frequently seeing what is pictured.

Is this a widespread problem?

More of a female spreading kinda guy.

Don't these idiot "feminists" understand that a man has some equipment they lack that causes him to sit a little differently than they do? "Manspreading" is another fake problem.

Worry about keeping your purses and shopping bags off the seats. I never put my shit on the seat next to me on the train unless the whole car is pretty empty.

That does remind me of the time my first wife and I took her kid to the remastered version of The Wizard Of Oz (the one with the opium field scene) at Northbrook Court. We were the only ones in the whole theater and I had my winter coat in the seat next to me. This douchebag came in with his girlfriend and actually wanted to sit right next to me. The girlfriend was embarrassed and tried dragging him to another row but the guy was an asshole. He said, "The coat has the best seat in the house." Now whenever I lay my coat down in a theater I tell my wife, "The coat has the best seat in the house." She gets annoyed every time.
