LeBron might not still be the best by 2020 but he should still be top 3. Kawhi will be the best player in the world by 2020.

Interesting. With it being half court you would definitely need a low post scorer and rim protector. And hopefully that person can also pass well out of the post cause the whole game will be about giving the ball to big man down low and then sending different cuts past him and letting him decide to pass or make a move.

Plus you will need a big guy to help keep the defenders on the perimeter honest and get some good spacing for 3 pt shots.

So do you only get 3 people? or is there a team of 5 with 3 on the court or something? Make it take? 2's and 1's? call your own fouls?

No they wouldn't. Pippen and MJ are old, and would get destroyed.

I would guess they would have rosters of 6. Make it take it would be awesome.

Most of the sports with few players don't have substitutes. I'm thinking like beach volleyball and figure skating and track relays.

Yeah, I'm guessing each team will have 1 or 2 alternates. You would probably need to declare your team for the match and each game would not allow substitutions.

track relays have subs, often times the team that raced in the qualifying heat isn't the same team that races for the medal.

I guess it would all depend on the format and game length for the basketball. Can players foul out? How long is the game?

I think you would just want the three best, most versatile players, and with LeBron, Kawhi, Durant you've got that and enough size. I think LeBron can play the big guy role as well as any actual PF/C

I'd take the most dominant post man and two 3-point assassins with that much spacing. Unfortunately there are no modern post men.

I don't agree with that for 3v3 half court. You're gonna need/want a reliable low post scorer and rim protector. And two big active wings who can shoot.

Some pick and roll 2 man game would be nice too, especially with only 3 defenders on the court.

I would think you would want a big, a PG who can run the PnR and shoot, and a big active wing who can do it all.

All three guys I mentioned are unbelievably good in the pick n roll, and Kawhi and Durant are elite shooters. All three are versatile enough defensively to guard whoever is put out there. If you have a PG and face a team with three big, athletic wings you're pretty fucked defensively.

The overall athlete quota for 28 core sports will be 10,616 athletes in Tokyo, including 64 in 3-on-3 basketball. There will be eight teams in each of the men’s and women’s tournaments of the half-court format which was introduced at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore.

64 athletes divided by (8 teams times 2 genders) = 4 athletes per team.

No fouling out but after 10 team fouls 2 shots and the ball.
