I too was doxxed on a BBS in the 90s. It was limited to someone putting three realty signs in my yard from three different companies. I may have signed up giving them my mailing address for all I can remember. WZ didn't talk about doors, but that is what I would do for two hours every day after school.

i could do like 6 hours on my BBS experiences. i just wanted to talk about some of the "too close for comfort" stories. and i think i was making dr. ken's head spin talking about modems.

maybe newp and i could do a BBS related podcast down the road? dr. ken says there are 3 mics!

The bbs stuff brings back memories. Used to do adds and art for a couple in the ansi and asci stuff. Art being log in screen I think. They were fun. Never got doxxed but met a few people.

The best part of the 14.4 usr I had was that maybe one bbs in area was even 9600 capable. Used it in college until they installed the Ethernet in the dorms.

Quite enjoyable. Had to get a post in here so W_Z's contributions don't look so paltry on the podcast index. 1 goose egg, and this appears like it could be book ended by a couple of hi post count PC's.

What was unfortunate about the Xmas podcast was I knew I wouldn't have time to see any of the shows, so I listened, and it was good, but immediately had to move on to pressing holiday bullshit. Movies were gonna be out of the question.

thanks beni. i think i said this on the podcast but if there's one movie i recommend this christmas, it's "santa's slay". it's a lot of fun.
