Lotta irrational Scottie love here. Pretty ordinarily good player. No one would worship him if he didn't ride Jordan's coattails to six rings. He'd be just another local Bulls legend.

He proved himself in the year between the two championship runs without MJ. He was one bad call away from carrying a team to the championship series

That call hurt me as it did everyone else. But it was the second round series, so if they won the series they would have advanced to the conference finals, not the finals. Plus they still had one more game to win if they won the Hubert Davis game.

And your point doesn't contradict mine. I'm just saying his status is a bit inflated - he was an all pro point forward of sorts who played outstanding defense. Nothing wrong with that.

 See, the Chicago narrative had even me convinced that it was in the conference finals. It's taken on a life of its own.

 What kind of fanboy lingo is that? How exactly does one win "6 of 7 titles in a row?"
Fanboy lingo? It's accurate.

Why are you so upset by Bulls fans? He played for in the playoffs 7 times and won 6 of them.

If it's 6 of 7 they're not in a row.
The 7 title attempts were in a row.

If you prefer, I can change it to winning 6/6 titles in a row while playing a full season.

I'm sure you can think of an excuse/qualifier for every Jordan/Bulls loss. Which is precisely my point.

There is one loss only and that was the one where he didn't even play a full season. That is it. You are looking so desperately for this that you ignore the fact that any player who doesn't play a full season gets at least some excuse as to why they may not be completely ready.

If we were excusing the pre-championship losses then we have something else.

But, let's take your GOAT Wilt then, why only two titles?

I'm not desperate at all. I never had a poster of an NBA player in my boyhood room. And I see you're assigning rings.

You are too by holding the partial season loss against him.

Nice strawman. Who said Scottie wasn't great? He just wasn't one of the fifty best to ever play the game.

It's Bulls fans who are inconsistent. In a Jordan argument, Jordan did it alone. In a Pippen argument, Pippen was one of the best ever.

It's sometimes impossible to have a discussion with you because you keep repeating the same incorrect things you've already decided in your head.

Jordan is unquestionably GOAT.
Pippen is the second greatest player of all time.

Boilermaker Rick is wearing a pink pussy hat around
You all just like Jordan because you watched him growing up.
You're not accepting the election results!

And you fall back on these conspiracy theories every time you make a counterpoint. It makes it tough to have a conversation when you constantly have to refute things that aren't even true.

I still love you, though.

 You act like none of those things is ever said or done. Although, I don't think BRick is wearing a pussy hat.

Even if they were all true (they're not) it doesn't make sense to pivot to them on ever counterpoint.

Here is an example:

Rick: Jordan did have the highest scoring average ever.

JORR: Yeah, but I'm not the one running around yelling "RESIST!"

That's a bad Beardown impression.

And they are all true to some degree. I actually thought that Hue Hollins call occurred in the conference finals. Because the narrative has been that "a bad call kept the Bulls from the NBA finals that year." We just assumed they would win the next game and the next series. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. You can look at the posts and Vegan, the one guy who knew it was wrong, clarifying.
