First player to ever to hit a grand slam, walk, and strike out 4 times in a single game.

Like him alot, switch hitter.. Power to all fields and a pretty solid glove in the OF.

He has less than 100 big league at bats, and is hitting .211. Its too early to call him a success....or a failure. You fucking genius.

It's illustrative that Davidson is being looked at as placeholder by Sox fans while guys like Happ and Schwarber are hailed by our Cubbie counterparts.

The "big hole in his swing" Davidson has a nearly identical strike out rate to "The Success" Ian Happ...nearly identical HR% and OBP as well, even though Davidson had to play during the horrible weather days of the early season.

As of this morning, Davidson has more HR than Schwarber, and more RBI than Bryant. Yet, nobody on the southside is calling him "Babe."

Does anyone want to explain to Bad Baseball Thoughts that Happ is four years younger than Davidson and that is a pretty poor comparison?

Three but that is really irrelevant to the discussion as they are now both MLB rookies.

I'd expect a better response from you...at least fWAR

Please tell me you don't think a 26 year old rookie can be compared to a 22 year old rookie.

Please tell me you don't think they can't.

Will it make them more comparable in 1.5 months when Happ is 23?

Currently, he's having a better season. But at 24, Davidson couldn't even crack the big league roster. I'd wager a 26 year old Shwarber will be leeps and bounds better than a 26 year old Davidson.

24 year old Schwarber is barely in the majors. If Theo didn't inexplicably love him, he would have been in Iowa 3 weeks ago.

You fucking genius.
