Our 2nd round pick

Seems like he sucks. Probably still better than Lauri

That 2nd rounder was from the Deng trade also.

Let's not go nuts about 2nd round picks. 95% of them suck and never make it. At best, they're the 11th or 12th guy off the bench. So get the money to off set the cost of buying out Rondo. That's probably what Pax told Jerry. Here's your money back for what I'm about to do.

Or Lopez.

Nope. That's the Rondo buyout money.

Bell seemed like the one guy who could play some D. Golden State fans are very happy with this deal.

But hey, saved Jerry some money. And that's the bottom line.

But what does this guy matter? Play some D? Helps them wins 29 games instead of 27? Who gives a shit?

It's about the big picture. They aren't winning the title in the next 4 years.

What exactly is "the big picture", Beardown?

A team that leads the league in attendance that is "rebuilding" sells a draft pick? How does that help "the big picture"? It's a fucking joke.

Where is all this cap money going to go to? Do you honestly think a stud free agent is going to sign here?

Yea the Bulls need a rebuild. And it starts in the front office.

They won't win a title in the next 10 years. Forget 4.

I'm glad you're happy that these dipshits are in charge. "Yea, we haven't done shit since we've been here but don't worry."

From KC Johnson:

John Paxson said the Bulls intend to re-sign Nikola Mirotic in restricted free agency.

I take back everything I said. Great decision by them.

Screw it. Get high draft picks the next couple of years.

It was depressing watching them project the Bulls future line up. Buy out Lopez, wade, and rondo.

Start the 2 timberwolves, the 7 foot no defending Finnish white guy, mirotich and a giant bag of money.

If I'm rebuilding I'd rather have a cheap controlled Bell for 4 years than sign 26 year old Mirotic to a new deal. He's going to shoot the Bulls into a few more wins. I want better lottery odds next May.

This guy would be fun to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewWLJtmH9iM

Lost in all the Butler fallout is what an awful move this could turn out to be. Jordan Bell looks to be a helluva pick in the 2nd round. Saw him play a lot this year and he's a high energy, high motor, hard worker, tough defender, chiseled body type of player who could definitely end up being one of the steals of the draft. As a second rounder, obviously there's a chance he busts, but for the low low price of $3.5 million it seems like the Warriors got the much better end of this deal.

I'd rather have Jordan Bell and the gamble that he might work out vs $3.5 million extra on the pile.

You would think they would want at least one guy who could play defense. I cannot believe they are going to bring back Mirotic. What a joke this organization is.

I have no idea if Bell will be any good or not but MANY people have criticized this move as particularly bad given they are trying to sell a rebuild plan.

Dunn should be an excellent defensive player but I agree with your post in general.

Malcom Brogdon from the Bucks just won Rookie of the Year. He was the 36th pick of last year's draft.

Some folks compare Jordan Bell to Draymond Green, who was picked 35th.

Jesus, the 2016 draft may go down as the worst ever

I don't think Green is a good comparison. Green can play away from the basket and shoot a bit. Bell is strictly a dunk, defend, run and rebound kind of guy. ya know, the kind of guy you pray you land in the 2nd round.

No room for Jordan Bell. After all, you gotta make sure Denzel fucking Valentine, last year's 'excellent value in the 2nd round pick', gets those quality minutes!

Just unfortunate the Bulls had to grab their 2nd round talent with the 14th overall.
