Who is it gonna be? Gotta imagine Bernie will be too old. Elizabeth Warren is too female/progressive.

If Cory Booker keeps saying stupid shit like this Trump would wipe the floor with him

Quote:
At one point during the protest, Cory Booker told supporters of Planned Parenthood that their fight to keep federal funding for the nation’s largest abortion provider was just as brave and historically important as the efforts of the men who stormed the beach at Normandy in World War II en route to defeating the Nazis, not to mention some of America’s greatest civil right’s activists who suffered unthinkable hardships.

“We may not be called to storm the beach in Normandy, that was not our time,” Booker said. “We may not be called to stand with Sojourner Truth and utter those words, ‘I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.’ We may not be called to stand in the slums with the Irish immigrants who fought for labor rights that we now take for granted. We may not be called to march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge with John Lewis and other activists, facing tear gas and billy clubs.”

“Those were not our day,” he continued. “But today is our day. History is now calling upon us to stand in this moral moment and tell this nation, ‘We have come a mighty long way but we have a mighty long way to go.'”

If Thieving/Conniving/Lynching/Christian-Baby-Blood-Drinking Bernie is too old at 79, Biden is too old at 78.

It has to be Tulsi Gabbard or Elizabeth Warren. Tulsi combines leftist domestic policy and non-intervention with utter contempt for Islam -- that's what I call bipartisan appeal in America. Also, she's cute, and Democrats can only win the presidency on singular personalities that transcend the politics business. They have to be cool and she seems cool.

Tulsi Gabbard seems alright. Elizabeth Warren can't win, she would be a horrible choice.

Cory Booker doesn't stand a chance. America's not ready for a DLB.

Warren would unite the Hillary and Bernie factions about as well as anyone.

I don't get why Sherrod Brown isn't getting more play, especially if he wins again in Ohio in 2018 where the Dems have otherwise been utterly incompetent for years.

Idpol fanatics will shut him down for being Just Another Straight White Male. He seems okay but I don't think he has the charisma.

I dunno, Warren seems unelectable when it comes to the Presidency to me. I thought the same thing about Trump though so who the fuck knows.

No more god damn East coast liberals. There is no value there. Still don't know why HRC picked Kaine. Awful.

Yeah the issue isn't uniting the Hillary and Bernie factions. Bernie primary supporters turned out far more for Hillary than Hillary supporters did for Obama. The issue is turning out the non-voters and I don't think Warren plays well in any of the swing states where this would be most vital.

I will vote for the president if Booker or Warren or Bernie are on the Democrats ticket.

If we're talking about who's most likely to win, I think Gillibrand has to be the favorite right now, even with "ruling out" a run the other month. She's been built up as Hillary's heir apparent, she's already demonstrating the Clintonite/Perezian tactic of spouting empty platitudes to appear progressive without actually making commitments likely to piss off corporate donors, she's already doing the "edgy" thing liberals love like cursing during speeches and going viral, and she has a fraction of the baggage Hillary did. The DNC will see to it that even more revolting candidates like Booker or even Zuckerberg are included in the primary rather than being a two-horse race, so her victory will be sold to the Bernie wing as "coulda been worse."

I can't look at Gavin Newsom without fearing he'll ask me my opinion on Huey Lewis and the News.

I can already see him walking out to a rally with a raincoat over his suit and Sports playing at max volume. It's like the beginning of a Lovecraftian nightmare

She seemed to be more independent before the last election. I was a little disappointed when she urged middle-class voters to vote for Hillary because Hillary was their candidate. I doubt she really believed that.

If Michelle Obama was serious about politics, they would have set her up with the Illinois Senate seat in 2016, instead of the cripple.
