I don't think that you have to blame anyone.

But if you truly want to build more community, and i believe that you do, then the bartenders should stop over serving people.

I remember going to a concert with a few friends when I was 21. I was the first one to turn 21 so it was on me to buy the beer at the venue. After purchasing my ninth beer in about 30 minutes the bartender cut me off when I went back for another because in his eyes I had to be shitfaced already

As bar owners, we have a role to play in the community. Over serving guests is both dangerous and incredibly irresponsible. Plus if you're overpouring, I got no chance of selling you a second drink, do I?
