1. No, he didn't. HanAssholeSolo did not create the GIF tweeted out by Trump. In fact, what Trump tweeted wasn't even a GIF. At best, HAS's work was merely the inspiration for someone who does Trump's digital media.

2. Even if the one tweeted was made by HAS, saying it's acceptable or ethically sound to report his name, address and place of occupation is absurd. HanAssholeSolo created and posted the GIF, the person behind the moniker is not newsworthy. The public has no interest in who made a goddamned GIF.

CNN wanted to fire back at Trump, and thought they struck gold when they found out that they could pin the creation of Trump's tweet on a bigoted redditor, while also signalling their own virtue by not doxxing him, but still implying they would doxx him if he rescinded his apology and started posting on T_D again.

I just take it as a desperate attempt to defend a bad point.

Exactly. This guy didn't even know. I could almost understand if he tweeted it to Trump or if Trump paid him. This guy almost had his life ruined because he made a funny gif and someone else stole it or the idea.

It is scary so many think this guy deserved to have his life ruined.
