So does the hangover continue and do they finish in 3rd, 79-83? Do they go on a run and win it with 88 victories? Does Schwarber break the Mendoza line? Will Addison Russell continue to struggle to hit .240? Do they move an Ian Happ, Javy Baez or an Eloy Jiminez for a controllable SP or just make a minor move such as trading Candelario? Will fans turn on the team and/or Maddon if they continue to flounder or under achieve?

I'm in a dark place regarding this team. I cant make any predictions right now.

Doesn't get more minor than that.

It's really tough to say whether they shake the mental hangover and put together a run as the games become more meaningful, or if they actually become even worse as the pressure and failure to reach expectations completely overwhelms them.

I think the hitting will get somewhat better but the pitching won't.

I'm leaning this direction.

Remember last year when they stumbled into the AS break and Rizzo was laughing and saying "Are you guys seriously worried?" This is the same team that was down 3-1 in the World Series and came back to win.
How does a team with that level of fearlessness turn into this pile of quivering jello AFTER they win. I can see if they lost game 7 but they fucking won.
