Take a guess as to what poster in this thread has fought hard to limit the availability of birth control?

Oh, and to add to it, I'm pretty sure that he also wouldn't want a gay couple to be able to adopt one of the kids that were born to parents that couldn't take care of them since he is against gay marriage!

So you're telling me I'm debating a Catholic conservative brick wall?

It's science until you and Brick disagree with it.

You aren't debating anyone. You are flailing for blame now that science has contradicted you.
What science has contradicted me?

Human life begins at conception.

The Greeks figured that out long before Catholicism existed.

Had you read the Summa Brick, you would have known this.

Human life begins at conception.

The Greeks figured that out long before Catholicism existed.

Had you read the Summa Brick, you would have known this.

Science has proven life begins at contraception?

So why are you against making birth control more available?

So we are clear when human life begins Brick?

A simple yes or no will suffice and then we can move forward with your next question.

I believe the science is mixed on it. My question still stands.

Was there an answer in there Brick.

Because science is NOT mixed on this.

Are you aware of any woman that conceived a child and it was not human?

Yes, just like science does.

As far as I know, "science" hasn't pinned down the exact point at which the phase transition occurs from "non-life" to "life". It's a series of probabilistic actions from fertilization (or conception, whatever you call it). All manner of scientists have opinions on when it is a human, be that brainwaves, or the point at which the cells can't divide to form two distinct embryos, whatever.

Sorry, but your retro-grade bullshit doesn't have the backing of science.

There are millions of clumps of conceived humans that naturally do not turn out to be humans, every single day. What exactly is your point here?

You don't see life as an important issue? Literally none of the other things matter without life. There are about 40 million blacks in America and 16 million have been aborted since 1973. MANY of these likely occur in poverty stricken communities. MANY poor 25 and under males don't know the value of life/freedom and based on the number of abortions MANY of the poor 25 and under females don't value life either. When you include abortions nearly 1 million blacks die annually. That's a major problem that threatens the existence of a group of people.

Your name calling belies you lack of a scientific position.

There is a separate organism

There is a separate DNA

Mocking people isn't very scientific.

1. Who called you a name?

2-3. So a tumor is life. Got it. Thank you.

4. When did I say I was being scientific?

So you have nothing to disprove the two scientific facts I posted above other than some religion disagrees with real science?

Is the guy hawking the science behind life beginning at conception really the same guy who is convinced a virgin conceived a child?

There is credible science that life begins at conception. There is other science that comes to different conclusions. That is why it isn't settled.

Just off the top of my head I'm thinking about things lime the age of the universe, the age of the earth, evolution, a virgin getting preggers, the dead rising from the grave. I'm sure there's more weird shit that your religion disagrees with but those are some pretty big problems there.

It sounds like you don't understand the nature of what is science. And what is religion.

This has been settled since the Greeks.

Just because someone says 2+2=5, doesn't somehow make the fact it is 4, now unsettled.

Seacrest... are you sure your religion doesn't disagree with real science...
Just off the top of my head I'm thinking about things lime the age of the universe, the age of the earth, evolution, a virgin getting preggers, the dead rising from the grave. I'm sure there's more weird shit that your religion disagrees with but those are some pretty big problems there.

Problems for whom?

It sounds like you don't understand the nature of what is science. And what is religion.

Science says the dead do not rise from the grave. Your religion says they do.
Science says that women don't get pregnant spontaneously. Your religion says that do.
Science says men have evolved from primates. Your religion says they were not.
Science ages the universe around 13 to 18 billion years old. Your religion says something around 10k years though I've heard 5k before, I dont think y'all get very clear on that.

Now you say I dont understand what is science and what is religion. Can you clarify that because it sounds lime you're admitting that religion is just a bunch of made up shit that doesn't need to agree w8th scientific fact.

Many that is true, but an incomplete statement.
