Nothing.

He was probably like 6.

A 6 and 8 year old committed an armed robbery recently. I can no longer put anything past any child.

How many kids do you have now?

Only his W-2 knows for sure.

The issue is not that Lebron defers to teammates in big moments. It is that he defers to teammates in big moments and has many series losses because of it. If he was citing a game that Jordan deferred and his team got eliminated then it would be a more logical analogy.

Zeph's post had literally nothing to do with Lebron whatsoever. He was simply poking fun at Nas's love of Kobe. He can correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's it.

Wrong. He was trying to have another debate about LeBron passing to Kyle Korver.

Hmmm. I guess I misunderstood then. Apologies, Rick, if that's the case. I thought for sure it was nothing more than making fun of you for overrating Kobe to the point that you actually say he's above Duncan with a straight face.

Duncan is like the #6 center in NBA history and Kobe is the #2 SG and the closest any player has gotten to Jordan.

I just thought he was being facetious about the (tired) LeBron/Jordan debate.

I honestly never considered it to be a lebron reference, but then again I'm not terribly bright. After rereading I believe I am correct about it being a diss on Nas's Kobe love but Nas is also correct about the LBJ reference

Zeph's post was clearly a reference to Lebron passing late in games.

FF is so dumb.

This is probably correct on both counts, but I'm gonna need Zeph to verify. IIRC, Zeph was always a Jordan > Lebron guy. This mystery is far from solved my friend.

Knowing nothing about the future you're probably taking LeBron the prospect over Jordan the prospect 10 times out of 10, but if you knew what kind of personalities they had then it'd be a much closer call.

The Paxson and Kerr shots(along with a few other examples) have been used a lot recently to defend the tendency for Lebron to defer to others in important end of game situations. We obviously don't always read the same things so you may have seen less of that.

LeBron is one of the greatest high school players ever. He probably could have played in the NBA at 16. There are probably hundreds of better prospects than Jordan too.

They all fail to mention that he was winning in each series. He could take the calculated risk. Both shooters had less pressure too.

That seems to be the concensus take so I guess I was wrong. I guess I remembered wrong but I thought Zeph was a Jordan guy though in those debates which would make it a strange comment unless he was just dissing Kobe.

I switched to the leather Jordans during prayer. Too powerful to do more than once a day.

He may be a Jordan guy but he's also a LeBron guy. He thinks/thought I don't like LeBron.

FWIW the intent was more to make fun of dumb Kobe fan logic in general, though I also one of the most glaring examples examples of that logic in action comes through in criticism of Lebron. I am a Jordan guy but at this point my frustration with Kobe stans nearly rivals my love of Jordan.

If we do want to turn this into a played out Lebron debate, his pass to Korver also didn't take place in an elimination game, so I guess that therefore makes it alright!

Kobe is clearly the 2nd best SG of all time and almost a carbon copy of Jordan.

Your LeBron point will always be wrong UNLESS his team is winning in the series when it happens. As I said then he should take the shot in a similar situation every single time.

Yeah but they won't fetch you equal value on the market. Say Jordan and Kobe are both 24 right now and balling - they'd cost the same if you want to acquire one of them in a trade.

You're just creating ad hoc conditions now. We've gone from clutch players should demand the ball in their hands during crunch time to clutch players should demand the ball in their hands in crunch time of elimination games to clutch players should demand the ball in their hands only specifically if they're tied or losing a series but are free from criticism down the stretch otherwise.

That is true, and then you would spend eternity defending the team who traded for Kobe instead of Jordan.

LeBron is dogged by the perception that he shrivels up in big moments. I don't have a problem with him passing up the "big shot" as long as he is trying to make a play. "Making a play" doesn't necessarily mean making a shot. In this regard I think Zeph is right.

The problem that I've had with LeBron was that he tended to disappear in big moments. This was the case early in his career but he has gotten better as his career has progressed.

It wouldn't make a difference - the team trading for Kobe would likely have the same chance at success as they would had they traded for Jordan.
