I hear and read that he is nothing more than a guy with decent stats and a loser. What should we expect from this guy? Any chance he is a #2?

He's a 3 or 4 in a good rotation. The knock on him is that he's generally good 1-2 times through a lineup. 5-6 innings, tops...this year hasn't been that year.

Quintana doesn't finish the season over .500 as a Cub. And never is .500 for his duration on the North side afterwards.

Not really. He's pitched for some shitty Sox teams. Chris Sale, probably the second best pitcher in the bigs, never even came close to winning 20....meaning wins are not the key stat. The thing is that Q usually keeps you in the game for 6-7 innings.

too bad they couldn't get Queto although he's been not as good this season. but he's good when he's got a good team.

Samardzia could be a stud if he ever learns how to throw an offspeed pitch once in a while.
