I agree. I'm just happy Quintana is a Cub.

I agree. I'm willing to take addition by subtraction for now with the hope of something more in the future.

Eh. Q was not the guy I wanted. But it is better than Verlander at this point in his career.

I think this could potentially be a good deal for both clubs. Eloy is going to be a good one.

No doubt the Cubs needed pitching help that would be around for awhile.

At least they did not give up any of their current major league guys and I dont think any of the other 3 guys are going to amount to much.

Sox have 6 of top 40 prospects now? 10 of 68?

Friend of mine on Facebook said Sammy Sosa now looks like a character in the Rob Zombie version of Cabaret.

The Cubs paid what the Astros should have given up for Q back in December. Hahn got a bailout.

So letme get this straight? First, the SOX fans on this board railed on THEO & CO for prospects, and now that the SOX have prospects its all good?

And now that "RAWDEAL" RICKY is on the southside, he is going to lead all of these kids to GLORY? ONCE AGAIN, it needs to be pointed out who the owner is? FF, do you reall think JERRY is going to pay these guys when they are due for a big payday? NOPE!!

I AM GLAD THAT THE SOX MINORS LEAGUES IS GOING SO WELL! MAYBE CHARLOTTE WILL HAVE MORE ATTENDANCE THAN STATE OF IL COMISKULAR RATE PARK?? But, Hey, bacon on a stick!!

Your Verlander stance is odd. Hall of Famer 6 months removed from a Cy Young type year

It's about the money. Quintana is nothing to the Cubs, he in no way affects extension talks with Bryant and Rizzo. From a pure pitching perspective I would much much much rather have Verlander.

I dont know if Verlander would have worked. Would he demand being a #1? How would that affect the rest of the starters? Would Lester be pissed he's not #1?

For what was given up I would have went after Archer, but I guess this Q guy is #2 on the list of starters you could have got.

Archer plays for a team that currently holds the second wild card position and is three games better than the Cubs.

If they throw in Kate Upton, the trade is a steal

I just looked at Quintana's stats. Wow, this dude is good. Just hasn't gotten any run support.

Great trade.

Yesterday Eloy Jimenez was the next Aaron Judge and Quintana was a pitcher who never reached his potential.

Today Eloy Jimenez is a bum and Quintana is a today's version of a 1984 Rick Sutcliffe.

No one gives a flying fuck about number designations in a rotation.

And after Lester's start on Sunday, he can shut the fuck up, too.

Go shove a pineapple up your ass.

I dont think it is odd at all when you consider the entire picture.

We'd keep Jimenez if it was Verlander.

Verlander shouldn't cost that much if the Cub pays his salary. Factor in that Ilitch is now dead
