I don't think it's OK, but I also believe in voluntary association and believe that there are enough people disgusted by discrimination (including those who facilitate the AirBnB app and other services) so that they can police it themselves and keep people like the property owner from being able to do this.

well in practice the system has worked well as you don't find too many cases of discrimination and when you do find them, they make the news.

As I said, don't use them if you don't like the policy. In a voluntary marketplace, you have your choice of provider.
